How does Everyone Like The Trickster NERF?
its a nerf, and yes his power got buffed but that's pretty much nothing compared to how strong the ricochet add-on was. With this add-on nerfed, he will be demolished in the fog. Am I the only one that thinks this is generally a nerf to the killer? LET ME KNOW

The exposed perk was buffed so I'm happy lol no more swf body blocking and hello great doctor build 😎

if this is the only buff it will uninstall it forever.

Wasn't that nerf to the addon a bit justified? I heard that it took away skill because all the killer had to do was aim it at the ground and get extra damage in.

so just for clarification, the only thing that was nerfed was the addon right? Or did I miss anything?

Ideally yes, but his basekit needs a buff, he doesn't justify the 110 movement speed imo.
Something that might be more fun imo is:
- Buff his MS to 115
- Make his m1 take apply laceration instead of doing damage (this means it would take like, 4 hits to down base)
This makes him an actual unique killer compared to others.

It literally says in the power, the knife count not going down in main event is INTENDED.
IT WAS LITERALLY A BUG FIX, NOT A BUFF.
Who in god's name is even gonna hit 2 ricochets with the tiny hitboxes and survivor movement and latency all at once?
Oh, and if you somehow hit that amazing double ricochet shot, lmao get cucked your reward's just the same, an eighth of the laceration meter.
Yet another horrible killer release by BHVR which could have been super easily fixed if our feedback was actually listened to. Keep going and you might make this horrid work a streak

Yeah it's honestly really frustrating because this is the most clear they have ever made it, that they do not care what any of us say and have no intention of really listening at all.
So I'm not going to bother with PTB feedback going forward; it's clear there is no point in doing so.

yes it was just the add-on

No but if its a licensed chapter, they will take all the feedback so were happy and give them MONEY

I wouldn't call cancelling a power you have no control in activating an improvement.
Looks like the completely devoted a killer design for Survivor's benefit this time. At least 4/5 will enjoy it.
1 -
Yeah, they outright nerfed him when the general consensus was he was terrible and a much weaker Plague or Huntress.
But I'm sure they feel good about themselves for the good work they're doing.

;-(

The one addon that if he used he could ALMOST, MAYBE down somebody with his actual power sometimes at a time when his M1 wouldn't do it. That's literally about all it did.
Like, he was about 25% as strong as huntress with that addon, and it was a purple addon. Like I don't know how to explain this to people who have not played the PTB because it's really hard to communicate how weak this killer really is to folks without them having experienced it themselves. He is, without question, the single weakest killer in Dead by Daylight. Weaker than Trapper and Wraith before all of their buffs even. Weaker than pre buff Clown.
11 -
If his m1 took 4 to down, He would be the worst killer still. Even if hes 120% 4 is just way to much. maybe 3

What you mean hello new doctor build .pls share :)

you can make doctors terror radius very big and the exposed perk "starstruck" is based around your terror radius

Yeah, in all fairness to the devs the perk changes are actually good.
Like, I hate having to just dogpile them and not tell them when they did something good; but man it's just so infuriating to see them on the cusp of something really cool, fun, and useful and then choosing to just...not....do that. It kinda drowns out the good things they do sometimes.

Will see a return of a few classic perks like Unnerving and Agitation

Nice what setup you have in mind with doctor ... starstruck ..what about the rest 3. :p

They make trick blades bounce twice now but they can't even make regular blades bounce once even though everyone asked for it and it would be balanced and add a lot of skill and uniqueness from other ranged killers
And they still have Main Event as a super short window to activate, so you won't even get use out of it most of the time. It'll just go away when nobody is around, congrats you have to hit a ton of knives again to get it back. Making it auto throw knives makes no sense when you can easily hold the button, plus you'll get a bunch of recoil and distraction when you aren't trying to hit anybody. The only good thing was making it not waste ammo, but that's more of a bug fix than a buff
Why are they doing this to us? I got excited when I saw them listing changes, until I actually read them. Except for the perk changes which are okay. I thought, "if they give this killer some good buffs I think I've finally found my main after all these years" consider my dreams crushed. We could've had an epic knife slinging maniac but instead we have Korean Joker who is basically Plague but weaker in every way possible. A tier in fun, F tier in effectiveness

Uhh the pallet perk now lasts 4s
0 -
the gate perk got buffed, its extra 4 seconds at tier 1, tier 3 is 8. SO its a 2 second buff dude
0 -
ye it was definitely no skill and I agree it shouldve been removed. But they did not compensate it and now hes just even weaker.
3 -
Ohh really I must of had a dyslexic moment thanks
0 -
2 seconds extra? damn BHVR calm down you're gonna make it op!!
4 -
Yet, another killer we will see only at the realease, like The Twins.
3 -
Yeah I really can't anymore with these devs. I've waited 6 months for a decent killer and some new content ( No, The Twins don't count as content. Good idea but horrible execution). And now they release trickster. A good idea but again, horribly executed. This will yet again be a killer, players buy to get the perks but won't actually play the killer.
4 -
You barely even saw them at release lol

It's not really justified when it reduces the amount of knife hits needed from 8 to 4, but only on the condition you hit the survivor with a ricochet shot every time. If the survivor is running in a straight line, then yeah, aiming at the ground behind them would bring them down very quick, but otherwise it made the knives easier to dodge, and impossible to pull off on loops unless you were right behind them, in which case you were better off just hitting them with a basic attack.
Imo, The way they should've changed him is to make Ricocheting knives part of his base kit, where they ricochet only once, and make the add-on add 2nd ricochet to the knives, but still reward ricochet hits with more damage progressively: 1 ricochet = 50% bonus damage, 2 Ricochets = 100% additional damage. That way hitting the ground behind survivors to make it bounce up into them would only reduce the amount of knives needed to 6, but hitting them with knives that bounced twice would reduce it to 4 and reward some crazy trick shots.
