    My reasoning for choosing Purple:

Purple is where most of the "better" players are. But is also not as sweaty, I often see killers and survivors use experimental perk builds more than red-ranked matches. Which adds more variety and unexpected situations.

Purple and green for me. A lot of the red rank players will just curb stomp you right away thats its just not fun. I'm fine with losing but get dominated so quickly is not enjoyable

I personally like to think that purple ranks is the sweet spot given the fact that you usually don't curb-stomp nor do you get curb-stomped.

This rank usually leaves opportunities to meme around and just overall not be as serious & competitive. I like the idea of relaxing in my chair instead of being on the edge of it for the entire game.

(Though I will say that I thoroughly enjoy red ranks as survivor and that this choice I made was more directed for when I play killer.)

    Red

Survivor: Red, because that's when I get the most competent team members.

Killer: Red, Purple. Otherwise it is not challenging.

    purple/green.

problems with purple: i get matched with rank 1 killers a lot more frequently,

problems with green: 80% of killers have noed, teammates are just useless blendettes,

    Red

I have the most fun in matches that offer a good challenge. Rank-based matchmaking is horrible, but this is still most common in red ranks.

    Green

Green allowed me to play whatever i wanted no matter how viable and still win

ever since rank resets was changed i haven't been there since, im pretty much always red ranks for both sides.

I'd say green or purple for survivor (never reached red ranks tho). The amount of claudettes who run to the corner of the map to self care, megs who only walk to not use sprint burst and jakes who sabotage hooks near you when doing a gen is unbearable bellow green ranks. For a killer I'd say purple rank. In red ranks you cannot learn new killers (survivors will trample you) and under purple ranks you either get SWF which is not different from red rank SWF, and the solos are claudettes, megs and jakes which do the things I mentioned in the survivor mini rant

I've met the most disgusting survivors and killers in red and purple ranks. Tho green ranks? Yeah, you can get a sweaty player in green every now and then, but it's not as bad, and not as frequent. Problem is, pipping out of green ranks doesn't require much effort, so I'm always stuck in purple/red ranks.

Solo queue in red ranks as a survivor can be a total disaster, and a complete waste of your time depending on the players you get matched with.

Imma go with yellow, it was so much more fun back when everyone sucked.

Green, everyone has the basic concept down but no one really knows what they're doing, the killer struggles to catch the panicking survivors and the panicking survivors aren't doing gens.

The games are long, and when I was a green rank initially it was the most fun I had with this game, because of how pure and enjoyable it was

Only saying brown because I really miss those days I was a new player. I actually felt scared and the game stressed me out (in a good way). Now it just feels stressful in a bad way.

As a survivor anything other than red is full of potatoes and everyone else will go down in 5 seconds every game. In red ranks this is more like one in every two games so its much better.

As a killer like me, I find purple ranks too easy because of how most SWFs are in red ranks so I have to face Solo Q people, which are fundamentally very weak in comparison. Red ranks is where I need to actually try hard in some matches while I still get plenty potato matches too so I find it preferable.

Brown and yellow is full of kids who does not know how to play, will camp and hit you on hook while laughing maniacally to themselves or self-care in a corner until 2030.

Green is somewhat good and fun but this is for people who are just getting the hang of the game, so there is not a lot of skillfull plays but there is a lot of funny moments.

Purple is the best. Skillfull and chill players. A lot of build experimentation. SWFs full of memelords. This is where I am and will stay as long as possible.

Red is the worst IMO. Full of sweatlords and metaslave Freddies and Spirits. No perk variety on both sides. Toxic SWFs.

In purple ranks, there are very few sweatlords and I have license to run fun perks that I actually like. When I play survivor, which is much more difficult for me, I enjoy purple or green ranks. That's where my looping level is at, although there are a lot of campers and my teammates are total potatoes.
