Biggest let down killer?
I have to say I'm torn between Blight, Legion and the twins
Blight has been the biggest anticlimactic let down ever because he was teased so much in the Halloween events and we get a pinball for a killer. They literally just released him like that and they said "we're done here." When they hyped him so much.
Legion was arguably the first original killer to get so much hype because we all thought it'd be multiple personalities or some blending power that allowed you to look like a survivor. Not saying that's a good power but still. Anywho they misled people way too much and what we ended up with was nothing like what we expected or wanted. Just a run and stab power. How original.
The twins weren't hyped very much. I think they are the most boring and bland characters in the game. I get they have an unseen game mechanic but you have to admit they're boring to look at, boring to play and by God so freaking bland and forgettable.
Do you agree or no? Who's the biggest let down in your eyes? Please don't say Trickster as he's very new.

Legion, kinda.

Twins. All the way.

I don't get the point of these posts. There is enough negativity going around as is. Why not make a most successful thread instead?
The only thing this achieves is adding another little weight on the minds of devs who might read this or even mods that roam around.

Twins

Definitely Blight. Especially since everything before his announcement indicated that the alchemist was going to be Virgo, and then it was just some other guy. I get more of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde feel than an alchemist that has been experimenting on the other killers. Not to mention that only one of his add-ons even indicates that he experimented on any of them. Granted, I can't think of anything that would both make more sense and work within the confines of the game, but I don't know, maybe if there was some kind of effect base kit that happened to the survivors after a slam that gave off more of an experiment gone wrong feel than what we have.

Trickster. I was at least interested in playing Twins and Elodie
Not excited at all about this new killer/surv
Only cool thing is that he talks
Edit: just saw you say no trickster comments lol changing answer to twins then as even though they were fun at the start, they're not fun to play as the game is rn

Legion. A killer who, at their launch, had a power which was simultaneously very weak and highly exploitable. It generally created very boring and unpleasant gameplay for both sides. I'm not sure any other killer has been reworked so quickly or frequently after their release.
Twins is a close second for releasing as a buggy and incomplete package. Their chapter was an absolute mess.

Blight, as I thought he was going to be a werewolf from that teaser trailer. Mechanically, Twins. I loved the idea of a two in one, but the end result. . . ugh.

Hold on there buckaroo!
I actually like Blights gameplay, imo he's one of the most fun killers in the game and pretty much a top 10 killer that has good gen pressure and can down quick if played correctly.
Now the biggest let down killer imo..... I almost went with Twins but I'm gonna have to say 100% Legion.
Legion desperately needs a rework bad. It's crazy how the Devs are acting like there's nothing wrong with this killer at all.

For me it Blight just cuz I can’t play him on PS4. It’s either M1 or uncontrollable. There is no in-between (for me anyway).

Pyramid Head. Without a doubt. The fact that such a unique character got "generic projectile" and a hook gimmick is a crime.
At first I was disappointed by Blight power not really feeling like it fit his lore and buildup but his power is fantastic.

Blight was awesome. His power seemed pretty lackluster at first, but turned out amazing. Other things about him were awesome as well.
To me the worst let down were either Twins or new "trickster" killer, although I'm not sure yet. Twins had horrible (in a bad way) design, bad and lacking power and just were pretty lazy. As for trickster, I'll see how he turns out, but as of now, he seems nothing more but a meme material.

Twins for me but she myn't be demoted once the new killer comes out.

Gotta say every killer in the last year bar blight has been pretty lame.
I still believe this game peaked in 2019 and its just a constant decline with new content.

Pretty much man, Pyramid head was the last good one for me, blight was okay and now each new one added seems to be a bigger let down than the one before.

Twins is the most infuriating when it comes to game design for sure.
In regards to hype, absolutely Legion is the biggest letdown.

probably Legion. the teasers were very misleading and he ended up being a “go fast and stab” killer. not to mention how old Legion made so many people quit the game
i would’ve said Twins but they weren’t hyped at all, and their power isnt as bad as old Legion was (still pretty bad though)

Twins could have been cool but they flopped. I’ve only faced like 5 since they released

Legion. You can't have a Killer that is represented by multiple people and NOT incorporate that into the Killer's mechanics.
2 -
The Twins. I've never seen a killer be viable only by using the worst kind of gameplay.
0 -
Legion for sure. I'd disagree with your take on blight, because the killer is incredibly fun to play and he offered so much lore and moved the universe forward

The Trickster I guess.

Blight and Legion.
Blight for the reason in the op, hyped for 2 years just to get a pinball machine
Legion...I was kind of new at the time, he was coming off the back of Spirit who was well received, looked like he was going to be unique with 4 personalities......and we end up getting DEEP WOUNDS

Trickster
Blight makes sense because while Talbot himself is very smart... He was not killing for the entity. So he made him take the blight serum and well yeah hes reduced to a ravenous pinball as a means for the entity to get food.
Legion has a lot of fun factor going for him to play as.
Twins are meh but God Vic can scare the living daylight out of if you fail to see him coming.
Trickster is just... Bad he was made clearly for money your forced to play with a very flashy default outfit on. A ranged killer which is just no.
He could have been. Interesting like if they pulled off this kpop horror idea.
But instead hes more like a rejected tekken concept that behaviour stole and went "add daddy issues to him it works for majority of our roster"

Twins are probably the most forgettable killer in the game. Even tho switching between characters seemed cool, everything else about them was just so... bland. Can't say they're fun to play against either.
Even if Trickster ends up being weak, at least he's got the looks, lore and bop music. I def aint forgetting about him.

Twins or Trickster, Legion was false hope but eventually led to a decent killer. Twins' concept is cool but executed horrendously and Trickster is a power concept that I think should've been scrapped entirely in early development.

Legion. Without a doubt, Legion.
"Let down" being defined here as high expectations and disappointing results, then for sure.
The aspect that's a "let down" about The Twins was the forced release. I'll stand by the concept as amazing, risk-taking, and innovative until the day I die. Some people may not like playing as or against them--or the character models used--but I'd so much rather have killers that add something unique instead of playing it safe like Trickster. There wasn't so much promotion and even then it was just "think its one crazy thing" only to end up being "totally different crazy thing"
Meanwhile, looking back at the Legion release.. all those promos were amazing and just so much potential and crazy concepts floating around only to kinda be nothing and do nothing. Its kinda telling how many times theyve had to rework the gang.
edit: Oh my Gods, and their lore. The lore... oh my Gods. They killed a ######### janitor.... Get them away from my horror movie Gods.

I tried for a long time to use a controller with him on pc but gave up and started using mouse. He's fun with mouse

trickster.
the concept of old legion applied to huntress. woooo.
didn't even give him a unique mechanic. could've had ricochet base, but i guess not.

For me personally, it had to be Deathslinger.
When I saw him, I thought of all these neat possibilities for his power, and was extremely disappointed with how actually basic the power is.
Although from your list, Legion.

Demogorgon for me. I started playing shortly before he was released and was so hyped when I saw the reveal and then I got on the PTB and my rank 15 killer mind was thinking "This is gonna be awesome!" And then he released and I was a better killer facing much better survivors. He seems strong and has a fairly well rounded basekit but between stuns, cool downs, and slow downs from using his power he's weakened to a point that really let's down the character.

100% Legion. Everything about Legion is bland and a snoozefest.

As the kids say: "Trickster lmao."

Well, legion was actually supposed to become a survivor. That's why his teaser is how it is. However, they thought that SWF wouldn't work with legion so they just scrapped him.
