How do you bypass struggle phase?
Is there a macro or something I can use to auto take care of struggle phase for me? My fingers hurt like hell hitting one button repeatedly every game. I'm having to rotate using new keys on my keyboard because what ever key I use for struggle phase starts to become less responsive over time leading to me just dying during struggle phase.

Simple answer: Yes a macro exists
Without Macro: rip your space/A/X buttons

Use scroll wheel.

Also don't mash too fast or play on the wrong resolution. Both of those can cause the game to eat your inputs and kill you.

I use a turbo controller. Lets me press and hold the struggle button. Other option is a keyboard macro. Hotkey macros can trip EAC so it's best to use the hardware itself. The sensible thing would be for button mashing to not be in a game in the year 2021, but these devs are absurdly stubborn about this for some reason.

You know there's this secret trick where you just let go altogether and bypass the struggle phase.
Survivors should do it more :D

Scroll wheel is probably the easiest one to rebind it to

I think needing to spam a button to struggle is a bit pointless after 5 years. Besides new players (which it wears off quickly) no one enjoys breaking their space bar.
Should just remove it..

I play on console, but after 5 controllers being ruined I rebinded 'struggle' to left trigger because it can handle mashing better. Really wish they'd implement increasingly difficult skillchecks instead, mashing sucks.

get a autoclicker, bind struggle to m1, toggle the autoclicker on, and hey presto

And console?

well in that case you're ######### out of luck :/

I also have to add that while I like using Camaraderie, standing there smashing the same button for addtional 34 seconds is not good in the slightest.
Struggle is just too annoying.
