Ok, thats it! I DEMAND an answer to this issue!

I''ve asked and asked about all these bad server connections lately yet i get no answer, well i'm done waiting, i want to know why everyone, including me, is having such bad lags on this game.

I've put up with it until now, but i've reached my limit. No more games, no more messing around, and no more avoiding it!

Its not my connection because its been fine up until recently, i've tried turning cross-play off but its the same.

And to make sure this message isn't ignore like the others, i'm gonna make sure this message keeps showing up until it gets a proper answer from someone who knows what the heck is going on!

So i'm gonna ask a simple question. Is there someone wrong with the servers?

As an aside, due to my day job, I always laugh when I see "It can't be x, because it worked before"

Everything works right up until it breaks. It's like saying "I can't have a cold, because I was healthy yesterday".

You might have good internet, and a terrible router rented to you by your internet company. Solution: buy a good router and cancel the rental.

Server locations. If someone is farther from a server than you, you'll enjoy a bad match here and there. Vice-versa.

It's not everyone or even most of the players. I know quite a few people who play this game and for the most part the don't experience lag.

It's either on your end or somewhere between you and the game servers.

No, the servers are fine. However, there are many factors that can cause issues in connection. For one, your own connection is often the culprit. If not that, check your upload and download rate to see if you just have bad service in the area; ethernet won't solve a bad ISP. Then, it could just be the issue of distance to the nearest server; some places are just at a disadvantage because there are no nearby servers, or none with a stable connection. Then, it could be your other players' connections; dedicated servers won't solve those tiny lags, only those ridiculous lag switching killers getting hits from downtown.

TL;DR, your router, your distance from said router, your ISP, your ISP's service to your local area, the distance/connection to the nearest server, and your fellow players' connections are all factors.

what kind of lag? little lag spikes? odd little bit of teleportation? yeah I've been having that the past week or two. Never had it previously.

I get a lot of latency but my ping is always around 30 or 40. I just think the servers are really bad and cheap.

IT has been said already many times here. You just do not want to understand. your internet connection can be fine, dbd's server internet connection can be fine, but the PATH you take to get to their servers through the internet can be bad and not reach or just cut out becuase of a power outage and by the time you reset your connection the internet has already re-routed around the downed server(S). Your computer could be triggering a firewall event that cuts the connection then, it won't tell you unless you know where it is logged. you could have an issue with your internet security, there are tons of things that could be causing this and most of them are on your computer. Think that if you are fine connecting to a website while the game failed, it is probably something out of the control of you or dbd.
