Killers lag switching for kills
Just came from a match where we were all doing well killer had some of us hooked and exit gates were open some lag but mostly in chases didn't think much of it until one of us ended up dead on second hook with nearly a full timer! I though they quit because of the lag but now I'm starting to wonder as I got hooked at end game and all my survivors came to rescue me then lag came and altho I was struggling it killed me this clearly seems like a lag switcher to gain 2 kills he then killed my other teamate and only one of us got out dunno about any of you but this sounds like lag switching to me.
So my question is this lag switching and can I report it if it is?

Killers lag switching shouldn´t be possible anymore. It was one of the main selling points of dedicated servers.

i currently have 300 hours in the game and have yet to experience lagswitching killers.

I've had several killers that during the match hits and everything are normal but once they get down to 2 or 1 gen all of a sudden they are getting ridiculous hits. Like they are hitting from outside their terror radius. You'll see/hear them just start swinging none stop until suddenly you're down even though there's no way they should've hit you. It's a hard hack to prove because it can just be brushed off as server or hit box issue but I've seen it happen with multiple killers now and it's always when there's only gen or two left.

Trust me it's possible, same as survivors. Dedicated servers and """""""""""""hit validationm system""""""""""""""" still give advantage to laggy and vpn players, I keep reporting them.
There was this blight hitting me and my friends from legit 5 meters away, in the endgame chat he was like "idk men maybe just hitboxes, these devs are trash" then in his profile he had his youtube linked, his dbd gameplays had the lag warning icons from the corner up left.
Russians still rule in Europe and nothing is being done.

This reminds me of my favourite hit in the game ever. I know, old but gold.
Every single one of his hits were at similar distance. He spent 10-20 seconds to find the bodies each time.
He claimed to have "perfect connection and 3-4 ms ping"
The game saying "dodged" is the topping on the cake. :D

So does this mean lag switching is still possible? Even with dedicated servers? How?

I had a very odd game today.
I was playing and I got ash and hit him twice but he fell to the ground then got back up I tried to hit him again and nothing so I left thought nothing of it then he was healed and running and I got him again but did the same thing he didn’t fall to the ground and disappeared and couldn’t pick him up since he was standing and then he bled out I couldn’t pick him up.. I would’ve let him go as I usually let the last survivor go if they’ve had a bad game.

That's so weird. At least you tried to let him leave, but with whatever was happening, that was literally impossible.

It happened again with another player i had hit them but they disappeared on my screen in front of my eyes.. i was like what? not sure what happened.

Sounds like hacking tbh there's videos on YouTube of killers hitting a survivor then instantly reviving themselves and running away whilst in a state of I guess immortality is the word I would use.

I never knew that, but it was very odd. eventually Ash did bleed out but that is because i could not see him or hear him on the ground i would have let him leave since i felt bad for him. but it was odd what happened, i recorded the gameplay too in case they messaged and got angry with me leaving him on the floor because on my screen it was very dodgy.

Yeah I'd be as confused as you. Hopefully you don't run into that too often in your matches. If it happens again, keep tabs on it like you have been. It's good to keep a record of how many times it keeps happening. 👍

No one said it was by all means comment your issues with lag switchers I personally thought dedicated servers was supposed to stop it.

300 Hours in the game isnt a lot tbh,
i've about 1,8k hours and I've seen plenty activating vpns or torrent downloads to start stuttering across the map
