Should you keep add-ons if you survive a match
So I've been thinking, if you survive a match as a survivor (Not too sure about killer) the item that you brought with you, will stay and you will be able to keep it, so why can't we keep our add-ons, I mean we didn't die, so why not...
(I know this would affect one of Ace's perks)

It used to work this way and was heavily unbalanced because Survivor isn't really balanced around everyone having stacked items all the time.
Without addons they can balance items around a more 'baseline' and you are less likely to see 4 stacked medkits that make sticking damage impossible for example. Imagine if killers every time they ended a match got to keep their addons if they got 3 kills, you would see a ridiculous amount of Iri and Purple addons.

It’s fine the way it is imo. I’d you want to keep addons you can run ace in the hole or a white ward anyway

it used to be that way but they removed it. I would say if the killer gets a safe pip or +1 pip they should be able to keep it as well

True, I don't play killer at all really, i'm only a rank 17 killer, while i'm a rank 10 survivor, so I wasn't to sure on how that works for the killer

Yeah It is ok the way it is, I'm a David King main so, I don't really play as ace that much, but If they did implement that into there game, they should at least buff ace's perk.

Yes this is correct, BUT if someone brings a COMMON, or UNCOMMON Med-Kit Those, are very add-on reliant.

Yeah that would be incredible, then this idea might actually work because killer mains and survivor mains can't complain about how they get to keep there add-ons and the other doesn't.
unless The survivor completely uses up there item then they should loose them.

They are NOT addon reliant. I almost always bring a brown med kit without any addons.

No side should be able to keep them without a perk or offering.
You get tons of addons anyway.

i dont think so. if you use logic, you put a battery into a flashlight and deplete it which means that the battery wont be able to charge the flashlight anymore. unless you recharge batteries but who the hell does that in 2021? same goes for bandages in medkits

I honestly wish that survivors just got more bloodpoints, especially seeing as how many survivor add-ons either have literally no effect on the item, or are only useful for newer players.

I would like it you did, but depending on how much of the item charge is left. So if the item is fully used, add-ons are gone, since you used them. 1-50% you keep one add-on, 51-100% you keep both.

i think that if you escape with your item at full charge then you should keep them. otherwise, no.

Well I mean the Brown med-Kit somewhat is, Because it only has 16 charges and it doesn't heal that fast and it doesn't really increase the speed that you heal others it only does by a little bit.
But hey i'm only 16 so I'm not tryna get anyone mad

I know this, OK, but if you don't completely use up a Battery in a flashlight, you would still be able to use it again same, a med-kit in real life you'd be able to use the stuff you used before if you didn't completely use it all up

We need a killer version of Ace in the Hole, Plunderers and Appreciation. Something that lets killers keep their addons (under certain circumstances) and can even let them find new ones during the trial.

I don't like it since bloodpoint gains for survivor extremely low. Plus majority of the survivor bloodweb is hot garbage and the iridescent addons literally aren't worth it.

Bloodpoint gains are low? What? Survivors can earn as much as killers. 300 BP skill checks guarantee this.

They can earn as much as killers but its just a little more difficult, because As a Survivor your job is to mainly complete gens, unhook your team then HEAL them, and surviving. But if you have a Good killer depending on your skill level and how you play will most definitely affect your Gains by a decent amount.
And the killers main Objective is too Get a 3K or 4K match, and Just be super brutal, and Stop the survivors from completing gens and to Stop the gens from making progress.

It's not really necessary. I'm fine with the change because there are two ways to counter the loss of add ons if you really want to keep them.
I do think, however, they need to clean up some of the ######### in the bloodweb to reduce the grind a bit.

You can repair an entire gen and not get a single skill check. Skill checks are probably the least reliable way to get BP so I'm not sure why that's your example.

You need a good killer or you barely get altruism points. Only Objective points. I´ve seen survivors escape with 11k points. No altruism or totems. Just gens.

No, and for the same reason you shouldn't keep add-ons if you get a 4k: because it creates a snowball effect where you use powerful add-ons that virtually guarantee you escape, and then you keep them, so you get to use them again next trial.

True but, What I was saying was it can be more difficult to earn BP as survivor than it is killer, because with a killer that never hits anyone you earn significantly less points

Bloodpoint gains are low on a price per bloodweb slot. As Killer the addons you equip cost less overall when going into a match since you obviously earn more. Survivor item/addons you equip mean the cost is much higher since you won't earn back the points spent on those items/addons.
A better example would be the bloodpoint offerings. You are spending 3,000 bp to effectively get an extra 4,000 bp. 4,000 for 6,000. 5,000 for 8,000.
For the offerings the comparative bonus they award is almost nil and it in fact eats away at your total since you need to subtract the price of the offering from the total benefit you receive from it. So effectively you get 1,000 2,000 and 3,000 extra bp when only talking about the single category bp offerings and this applies to both killer and survivor. These eat up bloodweb space which already is grindy as it is.
Say a survivor brings an objective points offering that is brown. They also equip an item that is also brown (for consistency while talking about this). This means the base cost for the match is at 6,000 bloodpoints. They max out Objective's category but get around (I'll use my average score from about 15 matches) 4,000 for every other category leaving them with about 20,000 bp. They then lose 2,000 so around 18,000 just from bringing a brown item and a brown offering. This gets worse when looking at the items and addons as they go up in rarity.
A survivor will only have a net positive gain of 2,000 bp from the match while using up to green offerings and items (not counting addons) ASSUMING they get a minimum of 4,000 bp in every other category (essentially escaping for survival). Purple items paired with single category bp offerings almost always will result in a deficit. The only real blessing is the escape cakes which are also hard to get as the bloodwebs choke them out with the sheer amount of offerings and items that exist at the yellow rarity.
tl;dr
They need to improve the bloodwebs and straight up remove/increase the bloodpoints awarded through offerings, they are quite abysmal. Survivor bloodwebs are horrendous

Personally I think it should have always been like this, I didn't like the change of losing add ons if I survived the trial. It honestly just made wanting to use an item feel pointless

I've also seen killers get gen rushed and leave the match with 10k points. Actually less than what the survivors earned.

They could, but medkits would have to be nerfed.
Add-ons aren't that crazy any more, and the three that are consume themselves upon activation. The only exception to this is medkit bonus charges, which literally just give you self heals, which is an extremely strong effect.
