they didnt not change anything they simply was tolad to send sony patch so we will get the same thing from ptb just another week or more later. Remember you can alwys be sure that dbd will fail you like nothing else they are know from that and it istn the reason to be proud of

The whole "the date you saw spread around was speculation" feels very "akcshually" imo. like it wasn't some baseless rumor, it was based on an existing pattern of behavior, and even if it was just out of the blue, i would expect them to address it directly so that people didn't get their hopes up.
oh well. it's a small grievance. i'm excited to see what kinds of goodies the delay brings us

LMFAO its funny they're delaying the release when we already know they won't use any of our feedback to improve the chapter.
Just release it God dammit, I'd rather get it now than wait to see the SAME bugs unfixed and the killer STILL weak

I really hope the delay was because of the pretty mixed reception and overall negative view of the killer's power and strength. Hope is the key word, because there's some optimism that we will see genuine changes to the killer's power. (Unfortunately, this isn't likely to be the case.)
The theme and design is whatever, but for there to be a 'delay' (In a sense, there was no official release date but they are deviated from how they usually do things) means there must be a significant issue of some kind that couldn't be solved on time.

hope this delay was about wanting to change the killer's power into a morei nteresting one,anyways,the developers taking 4 weeks of vacation,and delaying the update and dlc (wich has no reworked or new map) for a pathetic reason,

Really because there are companies that do that ex cyber punk what I think is unprofessional is waiting to the day before released and say ohh yeah this is being delayed we never confirmed a date so yes

I mean, I'm disappointed because I want new content, but I also want the content to be good. So, if the reason they're holding it back is because they're still working on it, that's great. If the reason is because they missed their submission deadline... maybe they missed it because they spent so long working on changes? Maybe?

Really? Because it’s not actually delayed when there was never a date to begin with... you just expected it and frankly, after the last mid-chapter you should at least have considered the fact that it might take longer (like they have always said)

But why is it so hard to tell people we delayed the chapter for so and so reasons? The lack of communication is getting beyond annoying at this point, it honestly feels like we the fans don't exist sometimes...

There was no delay if the release date wasn't confirmed yet, all the information you seem to have was related to speculations, taken from non official sources.

This is just another case of BHVR being terrible at communication. They set a precedent of 2 weeks after ptb then had announced it would be 3 weeks after ptb. There is already an expectation based on multiple patches prior to this. Knowing they would not be releasing in 3 weeks, and knowing people are obviously assuming so they could've put out statement saying "patch won't be out in 3 weeks, we are trying to make sure it's in best shape possible before it goes live so currently do not have ETA." Instead they are having a fog whisperer say it won't be out and he has people flip out on him for passing on the message and in the comments the only thing BHVR has said is "well we never officially gave a date" excuse. That's like someone lying by omission and then saying "well I didn't lie, I just didn't tell you."
We JUST went through this, the devs need to communicate more so these issues that keep popping up can be avoided. The patch not being ready in 3 weeks should not be some sort of secret. BHVR consistently being terrible at communication is what keeps pissing off the players. BHVR needs to reevaluate their stance on being so secretive about every little thing because it's not helping them. Possibly hire a new communications team, one that does more than just goofy crap on Twitter and actually shares useful information.

I find it odd how they can't even say something as simple as "We had hoped for a best case scenario release of March 23rd, but we need a bit more time."
This whole "well we never officially announced a date anyway!" is very defensive an off putting. As @bm33 said, they KNOW 3 weeks is a widely accepted time frame after they went out of their way to confirm that they would go from 2 weeks to 3 to give them more time to make changes. So stop being weird and obtuse about it and stop shifting the blame to the people who are excited enough about your content to buy it day 1!

Devs never actually said the 23rd, that was just leaks again, people need to stop hanging on their every word. But that being said, the devs knowing this was going around, they shouldn't have left it until the day before to say anything. I know its not all leaks fault, some where assuming anyway because its 2 weeks after the ptb, something normally gets released. Dev just really suck at communicating what's going on. Get it together guys.

??? No not really. It's the people working on the game saying "hey, we are still working on things. We'll give everyone an official release date when we are able to" doesn't reflect poorly on them, just a case of people following an unofficial source for the release date and then getting mad when it was wrong

They aren't fixing anything, Sony or Xbox didn't approve the patch yet, so they couldn't nt release it. Thats it. They aren't fixing trickster. And yes their customer communication is horrendous. Do you know of any other company that would keep its customers in the dark regarding upcoming content on purpose? They do it so that when they invariably have an unscheduled delay, because bhvr, we don't get mad. Well guess what, we are mad anyway AND it makes them look far worse.

You have to love the people thinking they delayed it to make him better or because theyre fixing bugs. PSA Trickster will be a fun killer to play but he will still be trash against survivors with any sense. The game will still have bugs and the patch will most likely introduce new ones. It happens every time no matter how long we wait.

Exactly! Once they changed the ptb to release date from 2 weeks to 3 week, things got even worse on the bug end. This company is not hard at work trying to make the game better, sad to say it

the date was never even confirmed by them, but it was stated multiple times that there is no official date...
i really think the leaks are at fault here and people again blindly believing those leaks instead of listening to what BHVR has told us. And I know that at least the mods have stated there is no official date a few times on the forums.

Yeah no official date was given we got that. The people who supposedly are suppose to know about the game (fog whisperers) even thought he was coming out today. BHVR should have said something a lot sooner than the day right before. The apologists for a company are unreal. They are gonna get flak and rightfully so, they deserve it.

They did say something. Mods said almost everytime the topic was talked about in the forums that no official date is given and it’s all speculation

I'd like to address the small factor of All-Kill never had an 'official' release date, and even the leaks said 'subject to change.'
For once, I don't think BHVR should get any 'blame.' It's not their fault that people got hyped for a totally ordinary day with no reasoning other than something totally unofficial.
Also, would y'all really prefer it to be pushed out a week early and be like the twins? I'd like to address several perks of the last chapter didn't function at all upon release.

Hell, I have a better one for you: Blizzard with Overwatch. You have Overwatch one step above maintenance mode at this stage, with information about Overwatch 2 not coming unless it's an annual Blizzcon event, and even then the information is a joke.
So, a current game left to rot on purpose for a sequel that Blizzard doesn't want to give much real information on.
