The lack of communication is what keeps BHVR and the community in a very unhappy relationship

Even bad spaghetti code can be fixed with enough time and resources, which certainly bhvr has at this point. I think it's an issue of competency or laziness if this is truly the issue (which it probably is, but certainly not the sole problem).

Would you bother coming in here? If you get nothing but garbage from the so-called Player base day in and day out, would you keep coming and getting rotten produce thrown at you, or would you tune it out? Or would you simply watch the place without interacting? The problem is mutual. They created this DELUSION of entitlement in us, and we abused it. Now they can't figure out a way to pull things back. My own view is they could cut the cord entirely. I don't see any purpose to this place (even though I'm a pretty regular poster) other than for THEM to post announcements, teasers, codes, and polls. I don't think the Discussions section should even exist. If we are this passionate about wanting to have long, drawn out threads talking about how bad the game sucks, we should have to foot the bill for hosting and maintaining a site to do it ourselves. I think they throw away good money after bad by allowing us this place to foist bile on them.
If we are truly a community, the scaling back of this Forum to being a place for them to get bugs reports and make announcements wouldn't slow us down in the slightest. If we are a true community, someone (probably many) would go make up their fan sites and forums and people who want to chat would migrate over there. If those places don't actually form or survive, it means we were never anything more than people making use of a free platform to scream at the darkness.

This is a relationship; granted one between consumer and business but one nonetheless. And for me, silence in a relationship can signal disengagement, anger, any kind of negative emotion you can imagine. And all you can do IS imagine because silence won't answer.
I've always been an advocate for communication. We don't need hand holding from the devs, but a department comprised of several employees who consistently give updates and community engagement will go SO FAR in mitigating backlash.
I just don't know why some resources can't or won't be allocated to building solid communication.

Poor/lack of communication keeps being an issue. They need to re-evaluate their stance on what they do/don't share with the community and get a communications team that communicates important information with the players not just goofing around on Twitter. Sometimes they'll respond to a question on one of the social medias but that requires people to pretty much stalk them for basic information BHVR could've shared in general tweet/post without having to comb through all their comments that don't just show up on a feed.
They aren't even consistent with getting information out. On FB at beginning of March they had announced pushing through a fix for the pip loss issue but didn't share on Twitter where they have twice as many followers because they were too busy sharing a magnum opus teaser pic. There have been multiple times where they post something on one place and then it's hours, if at all, the information is shared in other places. They don't post that often, it shouldn't be that difficult to get post out on the multiple platforms around the same time - especially when several allow you to set up posts to go live at date/time of your choosing.

Actually if they had listened to the feedback and solved the problem they wouldn't have to had to fix it 3 weeks later and we wouldn't have had to suffer that failure of a ui for so long. They knew the Ui was ass they knew the reception. Their best bet when they got the feedback was to actually listen to it instead of doubling down. In your case if they just released it we all tell them it sucks ass no big surprise then we have to wait for the 3 weeks for it to be fixed. They could have actually in that time of the ptb did their job and fixed what needed fixed. That was on them. They were the reason we had to wait so long and suffer. Another example is trickster everyone knows he sucks but whats really changed? Nothing much. They nerfed an addon. If they had just released trickster with no ptb he'd take so long to be fixed. If ever looking at some of the killers in this game.

I remember Peanits used to be so active on here. Now he's a ghost. At least we see Not_queen on streams. I don’t even know what Patricia does because she hardly interacts with the community at all.

Self-righteous today, aren't we.
Remember, coordinating a mid-sized video game company can be very difficult. Operations are often capricious and there really is no single person who you can ask for a final decision. It's just the simple truth that things are complicated, and people need to get used to that. BHVR isn't a major media news corporation, don't have such high expectations.

This has been going on for a while. Theres really no telling which way bhvr will go, but hopefully they can improve.

Yup.. and then they act snarky, rude and stubborn in literally every single situation. Instead of just saying sorry, they instead basically go with the ''well we didn't confirm a release date, so it's your fault for expecting it to be released today'' type approach, which is technically true, but when your release schedule has been 3 weeks consistently for quite a while, you can't expect people to not expect such a release date.
ScottJund made a good video about where he highlighted how BHVR chooses when they work, hence they probably don't communicate a lot because there's nothing to talk about. What are they going to say? That they did absolutely nothing for weeks on end but made one bug fix? lol

I'm keeping my expectations very low for the new chapter since the delayed it by a week, I'm not expecting any more changes to Trickster.

They weren't this bad before covid honestly

There is a lot more to why the relationship between us and behaviour is... Bad but communication does play a huge factor in it. Communication and them just not listening to us.
