What's the point of showing off your new DLC to the world by just dropping the PTB with no fanfare? I miss the days of Oni where trailers came out before the PTB so we could actually get excited rather than "Oh, K-pop I guess" and "A cowboy? What?"

well, blessed be the people that don't listen to streamers or whoever about unconfirmed release dates. 1-3 weeks after PTB already happened for other chapters, always depending on how much work it is to fix everything and add changes based on PTB feedback.
and below 1 week is pretty much impossible, but a chapter breaking out into the 4 week delay may happen, although I think it would be rare

They can delay it indefinitely for all I care, less bugs that way. On top of that I'm not looking forward to play that clown.

I'm honestly so confused. Didn't people want them to delay chapters and stuff when they aren't ready (even if this technically isn't a delay since they never announced a release date)?
But now they are 'delaying' it and people are upset?
I'm all for criticizing BHVR when they deserve it, but this seems good imo.

People would have reacted differently if bhvr would have said something, anything. And preferably not on the day of release but a little in advance.
If they would have said, no release next week, we need more time.
People would have been understanding and more supportive.

People probably would've still been upset, but for the most part, your right.
They should've cemented a release date, or at the very least said something like "We're making some changes to the chapter, so it won't be available next week!"
I still think this is good, though. Delaying things if they aren't ready is good.

Well they had some delays in the past, The doctor for instance and it was still a disaster. According to the leaks, they made some last minute changes and since verification/approval process can take up to a week on consoles, so they had to delay it.

And just imagine next week rolls up and the update is a complete bug fiasco.I would ######### cry really.
I hope i really, really, really, really, really hope this update will be good and worth the wait.

We could of had a Ninja killer that throws Shuriken but instead we have a K Pop singer that randomly throws knives because it’s in his made up lore.
The new killer looks great but his power does not reflect on what he does. He loves to torture people and records their screams, so let’s have him throw knives.....

Laughing gas have always been a common thing with Clowns, it’s their own twist by having it in a bottle. Can you explain how a celebrity with 80 throwing knives in his pocket relatable?

also I don’t have to. I am fully aware that the Trickster is an original creation by BHVR and they can give him design, power and lore as they want. I don’t have anything against Trickster or Clown, but you are using double standards because you have something against KPop aesthetics or something else I guess?

It’s their own twist, every original killer has a power related to them. I have nothing against K Pop, like I said earlier I think he looks cool, but throwing knives on him doesn’t feel right. Why not have a power that encourages his behaviour?

Especially with the design of the knives it fits.
and my Clown argument can be used for others as well: why would a Nurse fly around and teleport, why would a sliced up woman that only is fueled by her rage phasing through the spirit world or whatever plane that is, when a more direct aggressive power would suit her better... etc.

This is a hypothesis but judging by her looks, she’s an representation of The Angel of Mercy. The entity probably wanted to make her fly to become the Angel.
Also Sally wanted to vanish, the entity gifted her ability to do so

Yeah, I mean The Trickster was fond of knives and throwing them according to his background lore.
It reflected his violent side while his flashy looks represented his more pompous/egotistical side.
I personally think it's pretty neat, except the neon colors on the knives. They should've went with full metal or smth.

It sucks, almost a month waiting for it and now they delay it. It makes you want to choke them lol. But if it's to bring the chapter with 0 bugs and not a broken mess like in the past then i suppose its better that way.

I think it'd be enough if they'd say why it was delayed? suppossedly delayed? lotsa contradicting info going on as per usual.
Like, I don't think anyone would seriously complain if they'd say 'yeah, we are still fiddling with the framerate and general performance'

Well if it’s true what’s speculated and there is some issue with Sony not approving in time or something I am sure they can’t really officially reveal that..

They still haven't committed to a date, just in case they have to delay it again. It's sad really.

I’m fine with the delays, but they waited until a day before release to even mention anything and never made an official post explaining why. Just seems unprofessional
