Hi I'm relatively new to the game had it a week maybe and I've really enjoyed playing survivor with friends. Up until the last few days I have had fun as killer as well but ever since I have hit rank 13 its been a whole different story. 90%+ of my games have been 3+ red ranks and I've been getting stuck in loops. I'm just not having any fun the skill difference is Immense. I've tried using the are you having fun rating after games with all rank 1-4s but it doesn't seem to do anything. Occasionally I will get a rank 20 with 3 red ranks but then I feel like I am bullying someone and tunnelling but I just cant catch anyone else. When I do get someone down they all have such optimised perks I have finished games without hooking anyone.

Is there anything I can do on my end or do I just need to cool it on playing killer. I'm not interested in "getting good" I work enough as it is without spending my free time slogging through something not enjoyable. I have avoided games like dark souls for a reason. Thanks for the help!

    Try playing during the morning if possible. Less survivors are on and ranks are a bit better

    I know your pain and sadly my advice is push harder. This is the system and Devs know it. They will fix it and they even made some moves for it like new MMR system tests and etc.... You need to rank up and learn to face them because they will always be there. I am rank 7-8 killer and there will be at least 2-3 sometimes all 4 survivors are red ranks. When I was 10 it was also nearly same so overall you get used to it. Just enjoy your game and dont overthink your rank try to enjoy it. Other than that I hope that they will fix it soon cause it is quite a well known and common problem.

    At the moment, rank doesn't mean anything. If you want to play a few 'farming' matches, where you let everyone go, then I don't suppose it would matter if your rank decreased a bit.

    Put it this way, survivor queues are like 5 minutes because so many people are playing survivor. Killer queues are instant because nobody wants to play killer. People with thousands of hours on the game have been saying killer is underpowered for over 4 years now.

    Make of that what you will, but a lot of people made the choice to as you put it (cool it on playing killer). Those of us that stuck with it are just masochists. But the benefit of instant queues if you get to pick your lobbys.

    Thanks for all the help! I will try playing a bit earlier when my schedule allows. Maybe play some matches where I just muck around and let people go. I really want to love killer and I know how long survivor queue are so I wanted to help out and have fun at the same time but I don't think I can play anymore matches of just running around in circles
