Windows Store or Steam???
Hello there im new to pc dbd and have been playing on the game pass version (windows store) but i've noticed most people play on the steam version. I'm looking to grind the game so would it worth while switching to the steam? If so what are the benefits to the switch?

Nothing. The game on Windows Store runs much smoother than the steam version, although steam is more "gamer" way since it register your hours and other players can see your profile in-game, aside from that, no reason to change.

Honestly not much, it's the exact same game with the same content and the same features. You cant even transfer your progress over yet. Stick to Windows Store and save yourself some money

So the Windows version has the same achievements as the Steam one does? Just asking because I originally didn't think it had them.
Edit: like any achievements, at all for the game.
Thanks in advance. And sorry for any confusion with my initial response.

It does! But some achievements have different values on Steam and Console, so you need to check them to see. I would bet they're the exact same of the consoles since Windows Store = Xbox = Consoles

After the absolute nightmare that was PSO2 on Windows Store, I try to avoid it whenever possible.

Also Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. There weren't a lot of players already when it came out but Windows Store players could only play with each other. There were so few players that it's one of the only games they actually gave out refunds for.

I never tried windows store/game pass, but I don't see why not.
On the flip side, I have a friend who doesn't use game pass much enough to justify keeping the sub, but our friends play DBD way more often (over any other game that game pass has). He got the game on Steam when it was on sale, and it probably works out better than having to sub to game pass indefinitely.

you wont get matched with console players so often, you can see your playtime hours, steam has some cool features. idk if there is a difference in performance though
