No Mither - Viable Build?

NVerde
NVerde Member Posts: 264

What do people think would be the best build incorporating No Mither?

I'm thinking:

No Mither

Dead Hard

Resilience

But I can't decide on the 4th perk.

Also, PSA - a lot of people seem to mispronounce 'mither' - they rhyme it with 'slither' when it actually rhymes with the 'i' emphasised 'neither'. It is a northern UK word meaning 'bother' essentially, and is usually used in a sentenced like "Stop mithering me!"

Spine Chill is also good. Undetectable killers are the bane of no mither.

If you plan on just being a gen jokey tho, I'd recommend:

No Mither + Stakeout + Resilience/This is not Happening + something else.

No Mither + Resillence + Spine Chill + Dead Hard

This perks makes you so fast against killer.

iron will or spine chill. 50% isnt that much and spine chill could give you some nice vaulting speed

    Stake Out

(The other choice imo is prove thyself)

At low ranks prove thyself is better as more often than not lost puppies will be following you around

My personal choice is stake out

Your job as a No Mither is to waste the killers time or speed through gens (even better with resilience) and stake out helps you do both (gain tokens when chase breaks on long walls and stuff and destroy gens with those tokens after, fast track may be a better choice when it comes out but it depends on your team mates being bad).

Currently i wouldn't put in dead hard, but that's because it seems to hate me and the I frames just aren't working, and i feel guilty about DH for distance because its uncounterable. Plus No Mither is good for teaching you not to be out of position because otherwise you'll be #########, (you can learn this normally but with No Mither the consequences are more prevalent).

I'd instead replace Dead Hard with either Urban Evasion or Iron Will. Either be a stridor counter or a chase god. Iron will means you wont be moaning at 50% all match. Urban means you can window tech like an absolute icon and it's good for not getting spotted at a distance whilst needing to make ground (which happens a lot).

    Mettle of Mither baby.

    No Mither

    Mettle of Man

    Tenacity

Resillence / Dead Hard / Flip Flop / Sabo / Spine-chill / Whatever you want

Being able to tank an exposed hit is very pog. comes in hand in the end game.

DH is a must with No Mither. OoO is also a great option for tracking the killer and baiting them, but you can also choose Spine Chill or Premonition. I'd recommend Iron Will as the last perk to counter Stridor, though there are probably better options. Resilience is a pretty good perk for doing objectives slightly faster.

Some of these perks I haven't managed to unlock yet! Better get grinding...

Spine Chill. In case it's a stealth Killer you won't go down while working on a gen.

When I used No Mither frequently, I used this build:

    No Mither-->Obviously

Dead Hard-->Works well with No Mither.

DS-->You have a really high chance to get tunneled because you are making yourself weak.

Iron Will-->Paired with no Mither you dont make any sounds even against Stridor. Also you cannot go on many chases, so you want to be as stealthy as possible.

No one will EVER leave you slugged with no mither.

Why would you even suggest that?

No mither and self care are hand in hand the best perk combo.

No Mither, Tenacity, Mettle of Man, Bond.

The only true way to win DbD.

Edit: And if you think I'm being sarcastic, just ask around.

Hey, they're the one who wanted a No Mither build. You may as well at least try to get some value out of the perk.

that's the point of no mither though - to force killer to pick you up thus ultimately preventing slugging

  • PureHostility
    PureHostility Member Posts: 708

Exactly which makes Tenacity an overkill, as just having No Mither makes your chances of recovering next to null.

It would be smarter if you want to force pick ups to use perks that make it harder for the killer to carry you to a hook.

Sabo and being downed in a dead corner is an example.

No Mither is as viable as the Killer lets you be viable, No Mither is essentially a walking "chases last half than against other Survivors" so odds are you are going to get a target the size of the moon on your back because you are free pressure.

There are no viable No Mither builds, there are Killers who decide to take pity on you and not exploit your deliberate weakness.

sabo and being downed in a dead corner is basically begging killer to slug you to death.

With a no mither he will have to babysit you, which equals to nothing more than a killer hard camping You to death but instead of 120 seconds he needs to sit there for more than 240 seconds.

    I don't understand your argument.

With No Mither you basically want to be slugged...

No Mither allows for you to recover from dying state without limits, if you get downed in a corner with all hooks sabotaged if he picks you wiggle, if he doesnt you get up.

Not true. If you tank a hit and they're carrying a survivor to a hook, they're probably not going to drop that survivor. I've tanked and crawled pretty far away and gotten myself up.

  • PureHostility
    PureHostility Member Posts: 708

Due to distances to hooks, it is more of a gamble tbh.

Not only that, finding recently slugged ones even with Tenacity isn't that much of an issue.

But yea, that is one way to use Tenacity and No Mither to a good way. I will test it too, not going to lie.

But if I was on killer's spot, I would drop the carried survivor and pick up the no mither guy and keep the other slugged instead in case of no nearby hooks to rehook.

    Tenacity.

I do the build you’ve posted fairly regularly with Tenacity.

If the killer hesitated if even for a moment instead of picking you up, then you have an incredibly good chance of “disappearing” from the killer.

  • TheClownIsKing
    TheClownIsKing Member Posts: 6,278

If you’re feeling very bold, my current favourite No Mither build is Calm Spirit, Iron Will, No Mither, and 4th perk is either Fixated or Sole Survivor.

Whether going for Fixated or Sole Survivor, it’s one of the best Survivor Stealth builds in the game. It makes it incredibly easy to just “disappear” without a trace, especially when walking away from an unhook against a killer known to return to the hook. It craps all over any killer running Stridor (cough, Spirit, cough). Fixated obviously makes slipping away from a hook way more effective (no scratch marks, no sound, no blood), but Sole Survivor makes the build an all encompassing anti-detection build. Sure one survivor dead is a crap thing to occur, but 1 token is incredibly useful (except against BBQ). It pretty much means the ONLY thing that can give you away is either actually being spotted, or Whispers.

Usually when I mess around with No Mither I use it with Dead Hard, Iron Will, and Resilience.

If I am being totally honest no mither can be viable but only against 2 killers that being plague and twins. It basically denies them of their power. IW and No Mither is the biggest pain in the ass when you play twins since victors main way of tracking is blood.

Spine chill is the way to go. An early warning the killer is coming and 6% increased action speed during chases (with Resilience 9%) are life savers.
