Jason is much more than a guy with a machete and bear traps. Sure, he used a bear trap in the reboot, but I envision him having some sort of teleport and a stealth mechanic instead. His perks would probably incorporate synergies with Brutal Strength and/or Enduring.

I never commented about powers, and even the comparison between Billy and Leatherface's powers is moot; their powers work entirely differently and they only have a chainsaw in common. Bad take. We have several dudes with masks who all use a knife, and they aren't extremely similar.
Trapper and Jason share a vaguely similar mask and trapper has a cosmetic of a machete that isn't even his default. Trapper isn't undead either, so they don't look as similar as people say. Ghostface and Legion are extremely similar, but people ain't complaining.

Jason looks entirely different from Trapper especially if you take in consideration all the different cosmetics he could potentially have, also why do they look similar to you? Because they both have machetes and masks? How many killers to we have that have knives and masks? You said it yourself, Legion and Myers but their powers are entirely different. Who says Jason would have a power even remotely close to Trapper?

I believe they would start him off slow but he'd get faster the more chases he's in kind of like Meyers' Evil Within mechanic without the need to stalk. He could also have special interactions with breakables. Like if a survivor is on the other side or against a pallet or breakable wall he can do some sort of rush move which would cause an instant down and break the pallet and breakable wall. He'd also have a low TR by default or while in chase his TR is lessened. Traps don't have to be necessary, nice but not necessary.

Jason is nothing but a buff man with a mask and workerman's clothing, which is what Trapper already has. And you already have Trapper cosmetics that look similar to Jason's, such as H20's mask. Will they look exactly the same? No, and I never said that either. But not distinct enough for me to think Jason is worth adding. I think it's really dubious to say they look nothing alike.
I also have no idea why you lot keep bringing up powers. I never said anything about powers. Why are you guys being heavily dishonest when responding to me and bringing up points I never mentioned? I never commented about what Jason's powers would be. I don't care

Also I've had an idea in my head for how Jason would work for some time and honestly I think it would make him terrifying in the same way Oni is; that unstoppable force power for a temporary amount of time; combined with the slowness of Michael in return.

I honestly know nothing about Jason and his lore or whatever so I have no idea how he would even operate in theory. I wasn't trying to infer that Trapper's ability is the same as what Jason does, I was simply saying they look extremely similar and I think it would be redundant to have two killers who look the same. Like so much the same that you could basically give Trapper a Jason cosmetic and all it would be is a mask and a worker jumpsuit and he would look exactly like Jason
The only other pair of killers in the game I can think of that look similar are Legion and Ghostface, and Ghostface and Legion's aesthetic is distinct enough to where they are not easily confused with one another

Myers mask is already very distinct due to him being a horror figure so there's not much of a distinction needed for that compared to Trapper, an original character. The particular issue of Trapper vs Jason is that Trapper's aesthetic was already centred around what Jason looked like and they already look extremely similar, and Trapper already has cosmetics that resemble Jason's to begin with. No one in this game confuses Myers for Trapper. Put Trapper and Jason side by side and they don't look that distinct from one another.
The Legion vs Ghostface example is also not comparable either. Ghostface's mask is already distinct, again being a figure in horror and their overall aesthetic is different. Legion's cosmetic for the most part is generally very urban, Ghostface's cosmetic is...Ghostface, which again is already distinct from the source it came from. No one also confuses Ghostface for Legion or thinks they're similar in how they look.
Why the hell are you on my ass about whether or not they play different? I made no comment about their powers, nor did I say just because they look similar doesn't mean they operate similarly. I know nothing about Jason. I don't care. Hillbilly and Leatherface look nothing alike. Their (Hillbilly and Leatherface) lore is similar sure, but was I talking about the lore? No. Was I talking about their powers? The better question is what makes them distinct?
Physique aside, the fact that you can simply slap a different mask on Trapper and add a jacket and he'd look like a Jason wannabe is the problem. You already have Trapper's H20 mask which looks more similar to Jason's mask.
Not seeing anything distinctive about their weapons either. They're just machetes with a non-distinctive look.

-Sure, slap a jacket on Trapper and put on a different mask and he looks like a Jason wannabe. Same argument could be made with Billy, slap an apron on and he looks like a LF wannabe.
-Both of their stories focus quite a bit on loyalty (Jason with his mother, Trapper with his father). How ever Jason first killed because of revenge, Evan first killed because of his loyalty to his father.
-Evan never wanted to become a killer, he resisted The Entity's influence and this is shown by the metal hooks that are in his back, Jason on the other hand would be a lot more willing.
Jason is also shown using a variety of weapons, not just machetes.
