Because they can see your aura. Most hexes alert you when it is in play.

Cause if you touch a gen and don't see ruin, you know that the killer has Devour

yes but that's the way you should know, i shouldn't know it by simply going for a dull totem, this is unfair

well, the effect of this perk (the killer can see u if any of survivors is close to dull totem) apply on the survivors. And any effect of hex totems is working like this (it show to them if any of the survivor take the any effect of it) Even if the survivor was downed by a killer with 3 stacks of hex: devour hope. It's a mechanic of hex totems.

No it's not, Hex Perks have always been high risk for high reward...you're making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I know what the perk does, i am a killer main, what I mean is why should I know my aura is visible because of undying when walking next to a dull totem? i know it only show your aura on dull totems the survivor shouldn't be alerted by it, it makes no sense it does, it didn't before as far as I know before the nerf, so why does it do it now????

OP is like: why is my extremely powerful perk notified when its in play? its shouldn't be notified when its in play! it should only be notified when its GONE...

It's just like when Killers get notified when their aura is shown to Survivors... Oh wait that never happens, interesting.

It's also almost as if this is the only perk that tells survivors that their aura is being revealed (unless they have Distortion of course). Survivor perks aren't any less noticeable than killer ones, take for example: Sprint Burst, Quick and Quiet, Adrenaline, Self Care, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Saboteur, Balanced Landing, Urban Evasion, Borrowed Time, etc.

Because the devs are idiots that made a perk that is supposed to help keep totems alive obvious if it's in use.
Seriously the aura reading was already useless and they made it a hinderiance by telling the survivors this Hex is in use just give a different effect already.

Run the 5 hex totem build and they won't be notified of Undying's existence
