I don't care too much either way, it's a nice change to it to make it less abusive. I do wonder if they could of made it unlimited use (so twice... two uses) in order to neuter tunneling a bit more with this change already helping with abusing it.
Either way, it's nice people won't be fussing about it as much. Though let's be honest, something else will be next. Well besides Keys... but almost everyone is in agreement that those need a nerf.

Locker DS does nothing for the survivor anymore. Unlike before, they'd either force you to eat it, or you walk away and they get on a gen. Now it's just a survivor in a locker. They can't do anything else and still have DS. No big deal.
Besides, the real start of this patch is the Wraith buff.

EDIT: I still see you can do the locker exploit but I guess its not as bad since they can't do any of the above, oh well.

I have stop using it more because I realized the killers won't tunnel unless I'm in their face or near the end of the game.

You're still forced to walk away or eat DS. Only thing changed is you can try to waste your time and come back hoping he touched a gen

You're not forced to eat a DS. You can walk away, because that survivor is now useless to their team in that locker. If they do ANYTHING to progress their objective, they have no protection.

I'm not really sure why. Getting into a locker does nothing to progress the survivors ultimate objective of escaping. It's literally them wasting their own time, and not being on a generator. You should be happy about that.

you never know when they're in the locker and when they're doing a gen. You can come back after 40s to a locker just to find a gen half done by that survivor because you did not slug them
You never know, which means they are not worthless for 60s, you can just hope for that

When I see people running the new Decisive Strike, it's gonna be payback for all those times that I was UNFAIRLY hit with that annoying perk. And now I actually don't mind using it as survivor, since it's an actual balanced perk finally.

So here's my problem with the new DS from locker situation. Obviously taking the DS is bad, but leaving them let's them do the same as with old DS: getting on a gen. "But if they touched a gen they don't have DS anymore." You're missing a step. If we come back a few seconds later and see them out of the locker, and they jump back in, how do we know whether they touched the gen or not? DS from locker is still a guessing game, which leads to the killer getting punished either way.

A survivor getting into a locker right after DS is them saying to you, in plain English, "stop ######### tunnelling me". You wanted to try and slug a survivor for free pressure before you go for someone else, and the survivor's gonna punish you for it if they get to a locker. It's as simple as that: don't tunnel.

The description doesn't say it does, so I'm gonna assume it doesn't. Otherwise they would've simplified it to something like "interacting with any killer or survivor object"

Slugging is not tunneling. All ds should do is stop killer from picking you up. You have different perks for slugging and ds should not be one of them. Nothing should stop killer from chasing survivor. That anti momentum part of the perk should go

I think it's fine if it stays when you jump into a locker. That survivor either need to start being productive for his team again and do gens with DS getting deactivated or they can run around the map for a solid minute doing nothing that help their team progress the match

Well why did you immediately go for the unhooked survivor in the first place? To get free pressure by downing a defenceless survivor before finding other survivors. That survivor now punishes you for trying that if they get to a locker in time. I seriously don't see anything wrong with this interaction, you made a bad call by wanting to slug a survivor off hook and got punished for it when you could've gone for the guy who was unhooking that survivor.

In the last days I only saw DS in half of the matches, and only in 1 surv. And this was before the massive nerf. DS is dead

Was it clarified if it was healing others, being healed, or both that deactivate DS?
Love the nerf, but I think it would be a little unfair if it were the latter...

i think it's both, since the logic is "if you are getting healed you aren't in chase, meaning the killer probably isn't nearby"

actually getting healed does not deactivate ds. Only your actions can turn it off

Yeah, I would have thought, that if your rescuer randomly tries to heal you in front of the killer, then that's kind of out of your control and a little unfair....

As someone who plays solo q and never runs DS, my only issue with it is people refusing to heal me because they want to save their DS. I guess a lot more people will start running self care, including me if I see that being an issue.

Doesn't unhooking someone also deactivate DS as well? Survivors are just gonna start leaving their teammates on hooks even more. Will be fun... 😂

It was confirmed in a dev stream to be releasing in the next chapter patch.
It was on the PTB.
There's been no announcement yet on it being excluded at the last second.
I think you can safely assume it'll release later today.
