5 second stun resulting in at LEAST 20 seconds for the average Killer with no mobility option to catch up, maybe 5-10 with. Are you saying thats not long enough to get to any loop? How bad are you at this game?
5 -
You should check my post history for an interesting dialogue with that user.
You may just want to save your keystrokes.

if killers mains say it’s an antitunnel perk and survs mains say it’s worthless now, I tend to agree with survs
1 -
Ummm.... if you're being tunneled the nerfs don't affect you at all???
They literally don't, in the slightest. If you're being tunneled you can't do a generator, heal another Survivor, etc. These were the nerfs that were made. They don't affect you if you're being tunneled. I'll repeat it again if you'd like.
5 -
but it isn't an anti tunnel perk. you're still being tunnelled and the killer won't stop going for you because you DS'd them 2 seconds ago.
True anti tunnel would work twice and hide sounds/scratch marks while active.
You literally cannot do anything to progress the game and keep it active. Let it actually help you if you're being tunnelled if that's the case.
1 -
If you're injured you aren't going to do those things anyway because you're throwing the chase. With old DS you would be able to do those things and abuse the untouchability it gave you.
Basically what you're saying is you can't play without an overpowered perk to carry you.
5 -
Oh yes because a 5 second stun leading to a 20 second timer to catch up (ignoring loops) is no reward at all. Again, are you so bad that you can't get to a decent loop in 20 seconds?
That's technically a full minute of time the Killer is wasting on you if they decide to continue tunneling, since all other Survivors should be doing objectives (20 seconds x 3 survivors = 60 seconds. 60 seconds = 1 minute). This is assuming you just held W by the way.
3 -
They literally removed the "here, get a free objective today" aspect of the perk. It should be an anti-tunnel perk after all. I don't see the issue here. If you rely on DS to get a gen done or to annoy the killer maybe you shouldn't run it in the first place.
4 -
No cuz, if you are at the hook and your teammates to, and you get tunneled and have 100% of chances going down, and your teammate is at your side, probably your others teammates wont have enought time to go to him to do the save, so or he will going to go to the struggle phase or gonna die, so this save is really important to the match
Gen tapping it is really in an sort of an way unfair in some situations, but if for example you get downed and the killer kick the gen after picking you up, you get rescued and in 7s the killer is already on your ass, an you are in the direction of the gen, gen tapping at least at this situation isnt something "unfair" and shoudnt disable your ds
This 2 situations normally happen once per match or at least once per 2 matches, so in high level where you acctully need to do alot of things in an short period of time ds is basically going to be worthless
The gen one could be solved by just putting an timer of 3 seconds to disable
1 -
I kinda see it, a hook related timed activation, destroys progress the other side made. The key difference is DS is a reward for bad survivors and PGTW is a reward for good killers.
3 -
Please, work on your text interpretation, you literally just ignored my hole point and sayed in an way that it seems like i am stupid, if you wanna to prove why i cant be tunelled in these situation explain why, and dont distort what i say
Thanks!
1 -
Well golly, it's almost as if people DIDN'T run DS just to stop tunneling. It's almost like they were purely using it for abusive, oppressive and cocky plays.
That's the only explanation here, since 100% of the perks anti tunnel functionality is still intact. Apparently not being tunneled isn't what survivors are worried about after all.
Hmm. Who saw this coming?
10 -
and fun fact i already removed ds from my build along time ago, the only real problem is that now is worthless so no one is gonna use
And tunneling is at all force again (:
1 -
Kind of a joke that they still havent added "default obsession" to every match. You can think of DS whatever you want but fact is most killers play like absolute douchebags if there is no obsession in the game, because they know they can
3 -
anyway with less survivors running ds there be less obsession in match meaning there be a lot more tunneling and a lot more killers tunneling to much threads.
I should grab some popcorn for this
2 -
I told it before. Remove DS, use prove thyself or resilience and if the killer tunnel someone ######### at first hook and find another match. You would have more fun and less stress
0 -
Maybe, but in the end the devs could nerf every single gen perk to utter trash tier and do we know what would happen? The exact two things most survivors hate: more slugging and more tunnel/camp.
I could care less what the devs nerf/buff. I either adapt or choose another game. 99.99% of my posts are around folks being entitled and expecting the devs to solve any and every issue. It’s a pvp game. They aren’t fair and no one is guaranteed a ribbon.

Define "tunneling" first. If the killer has nowhere else to go because everyone is hiding and your teammate doesn't pull aggro it's their fault and not the killer's. Also, if you're actually getting "tunneled" you should still profit from DS.
1 -
So I hear two types of responses here. The one you just gave... and also
"If you are getting tunneled then just bring DS."
My question is...
1 -
I love how people call DS worthless even though the only change it received was removing it's abuse...
5 -
the things you brought up are things that you'd do after the DS stun, and you can still do that. Obviously, the difference is that you can't do it willy-nilly with no consequences. It takes some time to adapt, but DS will be just as serviceable once you do.
1 -
it's not worthless, it just doesn't give you god mode anymore
3 -
It's not a very good anti-tunnel perk. It needs some serious buffs. Either the timer needs to be extended while in a chase, the skill check portion removed, or being used twice. It needs something more because it's currently a very bad perk that doesn't do enough to discourage tunneling off hook with a single five second stun.
1 -
It still deactivates even when you get tunneled which is unfortunate
3 -
It's so funny because I've still gotten a crazy amount of value from DS. It is FAR from useless. Especially during end-game where the killer usually will tunnel because that's their chance at a kill. I've only used it once outside of end-game so far, but being able to take a hit and down to help another injured person out of the gate, etc.
It's still a very flexible perk. Just not one that you can always have the full minute on. Still far from useless.
2 -
Yep. Anti Tunnel perks shouldn't exist. You shouldn't NEED a perk to be allowed to play the game.
1 -
Could say the same about survivors second chance perks. You shouldn't NEED to win the game multiple times as killer because survivors have literal get out of jail free cards.
Let's not go down that road.
4 -
Iron will is better than ds always has been always will be.
0 -
people are still trying to abuse it by running full tilt at the killer or tanking a protective hit
1 -
You say as you go down that road...
Again with this guy. I swear his only personality trait is hypocrisy.
1 -
It's not hypocrisy. It's actually quite the opposite. All I'm doing is pointing out double standards. Why don't ya cry about it?
2 -
I'd love to cry about it. Maybe if I do, I'll get special privileges.
1 -
I escaped many games without any perks at all. It's probably just the way you play the game
1 -
I have not seen a single person say to run DS at all today.
0 -
You have not been on the forums at all today.
1 -
I have been here pretty much the whole day, taking breaks here and there, and I still have not seen a single person say "Run DS".
0 -
Look up my guy
0 -
I have the "Power Moves" achievement but today... Today has just been pure BS of the highest order.
1 -
3 people does not mean "every killer main"
4 -
Most Killer mains had no problem with DS being used as an Anti-Tunnel Perk. What Killers had issues with was chasing someone, downing someone, hooking someone, chasing someone, kicking a gen, chasing someone, hooking someone... and then having someone 100% healed run up, unhook that survivor in your face, you play around BT, accept the trade, down the unhooker, pick him up...
... and eat a DS
Because nearly 2 minutes ago, you happened to hook the unhooker, completely forgot... and in the minute since he was rescued, he both healed up fully, then threw himself at you in a reckless unhook, abusing one "Anti Tunnel perk" so you'd eat another "Anti Tunnel perk".
The perk was stupid garbage. Glad its gone.

I have to admit, soloq has definitely been considerably worse since the patch went live. I've started running DS just to ensure there's an obsession in the game, but with wider perception being now that DS is useless a lot of killers in my games were just hook tunnelling on the chances that the survivor didn't have it. In the games where people weren't being tunnelled off hook I found people were generally being less altruistic / more useless in order to prioritise keeping DS available. DS needed a nerf, but if things stay like this in soloq then we don't really have much room to complain about the inevitable increase in SWF's...
3 -
Not that I ever really used DS much because it's just a bad perk. I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about. I mean it rewards failure. Survivors who used it at a crutch have been done a HUGE favour with this nerf.
Now they can move past the DS dependency freeing up that perk slot for far better, stronger builds requiring a much higher skill ceiling than hitting a medium skill check after having failed to evade the Killer.
1 -
Look at all this useless anecdotal data that means nothing. All of it.
0 -
Because now it's true anti-tunnel. Even though we still have a game that forces you to tunnel if you want to win most of the time.
5 -
I mean at that point the killer is just wasting time, 60 seconds of not pressuring gens, sounds like a free win for survivor
4 -
If you are still getting hard tunneled you can use DS. Nothing has changed, just the fact that you cannot use DS OFFENSIVELY. It just proves DS was never anti-tunnel to begin with and now when it is.. people complain
2 -
Yep. Because when I get knocked back down within 3 seconds of getting off the hook, that's MY failure. Yep. ALL mine.
0 -
You use DS after getting tunneled, get off their shoulder, then they KEEP tunneling. Thanks DS!
0 -
It gives you a second chance to get away and get to a loop or hide. It's not supposed to make you permanently invincible.
2 -
For the people is also a good obsession perk and decent anti slug, although personally DS is still pretty sweet imo.
