Why was trickster released in his current state?
You guys took an extra week with trickster and didn't fix any of the problems people had with him. Why? Most of the community thought he was weak. Why was that feedback ignored?

They always ignore community feedback, this is nothing new.
I don't even get why we have a PTB anymore honestly.

Copy pasted from Twins release which is a copy paste from Blight release. It's just how they do things. PH was mostly clean on release. It's not that they're incapable.

Honestly, @Bloodshade has the best answer from any discussion yet. Designing a video game can be an absolute chore; more than most people in the community realize. Not only do you have to dedicate time to actually design the damn thing in concept, which makes it so that you rarely have time to play often, you have to tell your programmers to finish it by deadline x and try to keep bugs to a minimum. They already delayed him once, so they were clearly having issues with timing already.
And it's a lot harder to just "listen to the community." Who represents the community? You can go onto the forums, but the loudest people here are often in the minority. It's just hard to find good advice and merge that with expert game building to make a perfectly efficient system.

They simply don't care anymore. They're content with survivor queues escalating to 20 minutes.

Because this is a shameless cash grab.
Next question.

Because they are insistent on their release schedule and are confident that their 'social media marketing' is enough to get the chapter to sell
With this chapter even more-so considering the constant spam of social media about the chapter on top of the fact that they're trying to pull in more demographics into the game (they made a seperate Korean twitter just for dbd).
I'm extremely disappointed. I was disappointed by the PTB but I was hoping they might've made some tweaks in the weeks thereafter, some more polish and so on.
I've said it before, but it's gonna take months for this killer to be even remotely close to a final product.

I don't think they're trying to get more demographics, it's more milking what you have for everything it's got. One Korean killer from an overwhelmingly not-Korean game isn't going to increase the player base in Korea, which is actually already pretty sizable.

They r more interested about getting new players buying this game and I don't think in rank 20 - 12 this killer will be too weak. They don't care about veteran because we already paid for the game and most of us are buying him with shards anyway, that's why they don't care.

Either way, I'm just sick of how they are marketing this chapter and tbh I'm kinda sick of their twitter anctics in general but I'm sure it's just me
It's just dishonest and oblivious to the actual state of the product they are marketing.
I'm sure some people think the Chapter's fine in its current state and I respect their opinion even if I fundementally disagree

Well, the marketing is pretty on-spot for the theme; classy socialites & Kim Kardashian go nuts with the social media advertising so at least we can give BHVR points for thematic consonance.

Meanwhile at BHVR Interactive...

On one Q&A stream, I don't have a link to, BHVR explained they always take more time even to fix some serious but non-critical bugs. They are aware about them, but won't delay the release. I believe the issues are gonna be addressed. They watched how people play The Executioner and made a change. They tried to fix Blight's POV, but as results it bugged all other killers. So they did the change now. So they gonna watch for several months and update the killer.
The killer is playable. Not the strongest one, but playable. This is a free (with shards/your playtime) killer, so I wouldn't complain much.
I personally won't buy him just because I am not a big fan of playing range attack killers and I have Huntress and Deathslinger in my queue already.

The twitter brigade are having a whale of a time. They don't seems to think they've released a bad killer. Its fan art galore this, send us your kpop dance that. The game is unrecognisable on there now.

It really is obnoxious.
Current DBD twitter in a word honestly.

The most likely reason for the delay was to do with the console certification process. Microsoft and/or Sony probably didn't feel the update was up to their standards from a technical point of view so BHVR had to delay it for a week to get it up to snuff. The delay doesn't have anything to do with balancing.

It's just early access content at this point. ScottJund made a video in regards to why the PTB even exists after what happened with the Twins, and it still stands here.
I won't completely say they did nothing though. The UI with Trickster's metre does look a bit better than it did on the PTB, but that's like 10 minutes of work lol.

Hey, at least Trickster is just bad instead of straight up broken and unplayable like Twins were.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
