I mean i just dont get it. Blight and twins got substantial changes on their ptb. that changed them from unplayable to alright. Trickster is just the worst thing i have ever seen.

At least Ghostface got a massive buff from the ptb. Trickster is like an early test in his current state especially Main event

I'll be honest, Trickster AKA: The Joke, is as fun as sawing off your own fingers. In fact that would probably bring me more joy. He needs major buffs or to be reworked like the maps.

Alot people point out the concern s of this killer before he was released even twins got backlash when where they release in the condition they were in but I believe the devs are on strict time line and I think they focuses on profit instead heathl of the game

The time and resources should have been put into QOL and mechanics updates. Maybe have a few chapters that are just themed cosmetic packs, but not a new set of characters.

When you have devs take 10 minutes on stream to snap out of tier 3 madness due to lullaby and then nerf it........ let’s be serious about wondering why this type of killer gets released.

The designers don't play any higher than purple rank, there's your answer. They also don't want to deal with all the complaints that comes from having a killer stronger than mid-tier.
Also just look at the state of the maps they have put out especially new meat plant. Clearly you can put out anything at Behaviour and you'll never have someone above you questioning the quality of your work.

To me, it seems like the devs have gotten lazier and lazier. Assuming we get a new map next chapter for the anniversary, we will have gone 12 entire months without a new map. The map reworks shouldn't really count. Refactoring an existing map shouldn't be as time consuming as creating a new map from scratch. It shouldn't have taken 6 months to fix Blight's camera pov (this should've been fixed in the first week or so).
The quality of the last 2 killers makes me believe they didn't set aside enough time for testing. I think they are barely testing the killers before the PTB, and the PTB is basically a formality. Most of the bugs/flaws found in the PTB should've been caught in their own testing before the PTB was released. They use the PTB as a substitute for their own testing, then don't have enough time between the PTB and the live version to fix these things. Hence we get crappy killers out of the gate that take months for them to get around to fixing.

They readily admitted that blights ptb wasn’t the build they were going to release to the public, so testing was never the reason for the ptb to begin with. It’s absolutely free publicity via twitch/YouTube/Facebook/(insert whatever media you want). It’s really as simple as that

Main Event is the worst design decision BHVR has made in a long time. You lose time if you don't down someone almost immediately with it. The start-up, stun, and cooldown are unbelievable. If you don't down anyone with it you're basically throwing. AND you have no real control over when to activate it because the bar resets after a certain amount of time of not activating it. It's insane.

Just imagine Oni with similar conditions on his “omega power”. At least when it triggered and you didn’t necessarily want it you could still zoom around the map with a super lethal power. And he’s still 115 without it. These devs really make no sense

Main Event is the most pathetic power i've ever seen.
Just compare it to other power spikes like Myers Tier 3,Plagues Corrupt Purge or Onis Blood Fury.
I don't get them,are they using the magic conch from Spongebob Squarepants to make their design decisions or something?

Ya there is search almo on yt and you'll find it, it's not for 10 minutes though. But yes mid game he decides to nerf lullaby due to his missing skillchecks.

I honestly think they were just doing this killer for a cash grab. To try to get the KPop fans into DBD, get their money, and never really deal with the killer again. That’s why he’s so terrible. He was just used as a wallet opener to Kpop fans.

would be better if devs stopped releasing new chapters until you update the maps and mechanics, and they do not have time and looks very bad

It's the result of an overreliance on big data and dismissal of actual gameplay and experience. You don't need months of data to see this killer's glaring issues if you have a lot of experience in this game, especially with comparable ranged killers. It's obvious within 10 games that he's massively flawed. Anybody on BHVR's team should have realized this if they put stock in experienced gameplay.

I'd rather wait three months to see a massive experimental balance update where they play with existing content I already own. There's probably some ridiculous number like 80% of the game that doesn't get used because it's redundant or just crap. Now there's a new crap killer to add to that number

I'm so dissapointed, sad and mad at the same time, because I like everything about him except for him being very weak, obviously. His VO, his looks, animations, color and the fact that he is easier to control then two previous killers for me. But due to him being bad right now I'm not going to buy him anytime soon 😕He had so much potential, but nerf after the PTB instead of buff... sorry, I can't even 🤦♀️

The best part about his release is that they managed to release him with a bugged "Main Event" that makes it basically unusable...
