You still can. If they tunnel you, then you can DS them.
It still lets you heal yourself too, if you get the chance. It only deactivatesif you heal someone else; because in that scenario you are not being tunneled.Post edited by [Deleted User] on11 -
It does say it deactivates if you heal yourself or others.

LoL this is great. They're all pissed Because now that it's an actual anti-tunnelling perk, they can't use it. Because they were never actually being tunnelled.

oh no you no longer have your crutch god mode button.
if you healing you not being tunneled

Put Ruin back the way it was!!!

Good. If you have time to heal off hook you’re not being tunneled. If you are able to go do totems and gens after unhook you aren’t being tunneled. DS is fine the way it is.

Yeah the perk is clearly for when you're actually being tunneled off hook. Survivors have this idea that them going away healing, working on a gen, and then being chased when they're in plain sight of the killer doing the objective is tunneling - it's not.

Get this idea out of your head that you are being tunneled if you happen to be the Survivor the Killer hooks twice in a row.

So it does you are right.
They changed their mind I guess, they said originally "Don't worry, you'll still be able to heal however other actions not pertaining to evading the killer such as unhooking or healing other survivors, or doing generators cleansing totems etc will deactivate the perk" or something therein.

You better find somewhere safe and hidden to heal then. Is this rocket science?

Amen ty! Say it louder!

I would be 100% fine if they let you heal yourself/get healed without it deactivating. But if you feel safe enough to heal someone else or hop on a gen, you're not being tunneled. You're just not. The rest of the perk is absolutely fine as is. Locker DS should've gone as well.

If you are healing, you're NOT BEING TUNNELED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In nice terms, get good? If you can run a killer even after they tunnel you and force the DS, that only punishes them the more time they spend on you. The fact is, horrible players in high ranks and even mid-to high ranks abused this perk to give them safety and w/o it, their real skill level shows up more.
DS is fine as it is, stop complaining and get better at the video game.

Right, but if you are able to stop and heal someone or yourself, then you aren't being tunneled.

Go some place far away from killer to heal rather than heal on killer's face

No

He wasn't saying that wasn't the case, he was just correcting the part I got wrong.

No it says "healing activities"
DbD is known for it's crappy tooltips

I mean you could be. I baited a ds deactivation by walking away from the hook then circling back around after the survivor got unhooked as wraith followed at a distance till i saw the person tap themself with nurses then downed them. The healing others makes sense idk just about healing yourself.

As far as I remember, it's always been this way since it was first announced. Players got up in arms because it was unclear when it said healing deactivates DS (players were worried someone could tap them once under the hook to start healing them and deactivate their DS), but the devs specified right away that the unhooked survivor has to perform the action; if someone else heals the unhooked survivor, the unhooked survivor does not lose DS.
That was what happened: the original perk description was unclear and it caused a bit of an uproar while the devs tried to get the word out that players had misunderstood and needn't be worried.

Here’s the problem
1) If you can heal you don’t need DS. With the time it takes to heal, get chased, take a hit, get chased some more, take a second hit and then get picked up its very likely that DS will have expired anyway.
2) If you only deactivate DS once fully healed for example then you end up with a situation where everyone 99% heals themselves and taps to fully heal only once DS has expired.
Basically its either too powerful or open to abuse. If its that much of a problem then use inner strength
