Why is this community so toxic?
I understand that looking at a game's forums is probably asking to see the gates of hell, but what is it that makes this community so vitriolic, spiteful, dogmatic, self-righteous, entitled, arrogant, etc, etc? Comments like:
"The game it’s broken from so many nerfs and it’s favorising the killers. Devs only listen to this killers. And I posted so many threads about how bad they camp, they tunnel, they use NOED so they can stay AFK all the game and get easy kills at the end, even if they are very bad as killers...so many things that I don’t like about this game...I don’t even have the time to write them. All my threads complaining about these things that make this game unplayable have been deleted in an abusive way. So enjoy a new game and let the killers play alone. They just want to play with some bots not survivors with human brains. They will complain always anyway. Btw this forum is 90% killers. So you will have spam from their salty comments"
It's like watching the Karen at the mall yell at the Macy's cashier and lecture her about respect and being humble and saying "You've lost a very important customer!" And that's pretty much the entire exchange. And it goes equally toxic for the killer side. The same repetitious mentality of I make stupid point (either something entitled about BHVR or "nerf this") this guy doesn't agree with me, I call this guy stupid and fat and ugly, I repeat.

Don't blame the whole community, its mostly the forums, but lets be real, don't we all come to the forums to fight with strangers on the internet?

20% killers
80% survivor
There are 4 times as many survivors as killers, you comment is entitled and makes no sense. Believe it or not, ( but I'm not 100% sure ) I think there are more toxic survivors that killers.

What do you mean by community? Forums? The general population that you find in pre/post-game chat? During a match?
If you're talking about the forums, it's because people tend to be a lot more vocal about negative experiences than positive ones.

Believe it or not, not every player in DbD makes it to the forums LOL.
It makes sense that there's a lean towards survivors, but this forum is not representative of 100% of DbD's playerbase. Ask everyone their ranks and you'll see there's quite a lean towards red ranks on this forum, and you can't say most DbD players have the same distribution.

I dont think the forum is that killer sided. Some people just put any perspective they don´t like in the "survivor main" or "killer main" corner.
I for one play only solo survivor, but i used to play killer as well, and slowly starting to doing so again. So i know both sides, and i really really belive the game is survivorsided, in its core. But playing solo, just one potatoe can ruin the whole match, and since there are many survivor potatoes, it happens not too rarly. But that doesnt change that most killers are basicly lost against competent survivors, and even more so if they are swf with comms.
But thus, i am put into the killer corner time and again, even though i play way more as a survivor, and always have.
