The Grind
As much as I enjoy this game, it's getting to the point I am just tired of grinding for all these perks for each killer and survivor is just becoming way to much. More so for someone who hasn't been with the game since day one. I understand we need to work towards our perks and such. I know this number means nothing but having nearly 1,000 hours into the game. I feel like this is just becoming to much. The fact you have to learn the perk three times each. Baby perk. Medium Perk. Full potential perk. Even with BBQ doubling the points.
Does DBD plan on fixing this very long grind. Because to completely do one character you need 5m to 6m blood points and I am only roughly guessing on how many points I am still currently trying to figure it out.
DBD team. Please help... I want to enjoy all killers but not grind for a year to unlock everything.
I also learned I shouldn't kept putting points into the same killers XD so this is also my own fault

They should remove perk tiers and make it so that once you get a perk, you get the tier 3 varient.

That would be more acceptable than having to learn it three times. I get back when the game first started three perk levels was something useful, but now there are total 170 perks both survivor and killer. The killers I believe is 78 total but I might be wrong but there are sixty six total just to learn and I think twelve that are just free to any killer. This isn't even talking about the poor survivors because we have more survivors than killers XD.
But having to learn it technically four times to unlock teaching. It's just becoming to rough. I love this game for the most part but the grind is really getting to tedious

The worst thing about the grind is that, somehow, it used to be way worse.

Its even worse when you have all the perks unlocked. Trickster is such a weak, useless killer that he needs Bamboozle to shut down the strongest loops against him (not taking a worthless hex). I've spent over 2.5 million bloodpoints and still have not got it. The amount of time and effort I put in to grind all that bp and shards and I get ######### on. I have every perk in the game unlocked which makes it worse than someone who only has a few unlocked. I'm literally punished for supporting the game and having all the dlc. It's disgusting and ludicrous.

What was that even like? Like how could it be worse than the current state? I know I started back when the huntress came out and had her as my main for the longest time but I don't really remember how it was like back in the day.

I am sorry that you are having a difficult time. I played the trickster because I wanted to own it. I haven't even touch leveling up this man. Most of my killers are level 40 just so I could on the killers I enjoyed at the time was to get them ready. Now I been enjoying the game and want to expand outside my normal killers. I been playing The Hag and some others but....unlocking everything. I just want to know if DBD plans on fixing this or maybe just find something else to play while I burn myself out on the grind alone

Agreed, perk tiers feel like an atavism from an older system that just doesnt fit in current game, whats worst is that since perks have been balanced to be at the max tier, lower tiers are often gimped in such a way that they are clunky and barely usable.

There are two things that I absolutely hate about the bloodweb. First is the number of pollutant offering there is. I am really curious to know if someone likes to use reagents to change the fog or those vigo blueprints to know where basement is. Offerings about bloodpoints, maps and moris are fine but the rest has no usage other than just make you lose bloodpoints.
The second thing that absolutely baffles me is the prestige system. The prestige outfits suck and you have no reason to get them except for Freddy and Quentin (both of them have no cosmetics). If you want to get a bloody version of your favorite killer/survivor and increase the rarity of your bloodweb it is completely fine but why do you need to delete all perks/add-ons/offerings we got? It just makes the game even more grindy.

The old Bloodweb back in 2016 used to be way worse:
Rarer Nodes tended to spawn on the outer circles of the Bloodweb and the cost was determined by the circle Nodes spawned on:
- Inner circle: 3,000 BPs
- Middle circle: 5,000 BPs
- Outer circle: 8,000 BPs
Here, I think I've found a picture:
You know, I never had the chance to play with the old Bloodweb. I first started playing DBD during the last Winter Solstice event (2018). I just enjoy learning about Dead by Daylight's old versions.
I know it is never going to happen, but I would love to play Dead by Daylight's old versions. Just to experience it for myself.

As for the blueprints for basement and everything. It's a nice one to have depending which killer you are. For example if I am trapper or hag. I like using them to make a save all the more difficult. I mean it's not a needed offering but helps a tiny amount. Nothing great. The foggy stuff I find completely useless unless again hag or trapper. Hide the traps I guess a little better? As for the prestige. I think it's pointless and the outfits are pointless as well. Maybe if they brought back the old one I would be more than willing to do it. But not until they fix this grind.
Neat. Thank you for the findings.

The old bloodweb also didn't have as many perks to deal with. It is probably just as bad now as then if not worse.

Nah, the blueprints are completely worthless. Normally maps have 2 spawn points for basement and most players know where they are on each map.

Completamente de acuerdo.

Higher costs

That sounds like a nightmare. Glad I don't have to deal with less perks being offered.
This is very true. However, when you are playing a sneaky sneaky chest guarding bubba to provide a different enjoyment instead of the typical run of the game. :D you know where to B-line to.

It used to be minimum 200 hours of playtime just to P3 a single killer.

Yeah.... I have no desire to P3 a killer just to make them look like they are covered in blood. It just doesn't strike me worth my own time. More so if I took the time to unlock all the perks on the killer before even doing a prestige. I understand why people do it, but I rather have all killers maxed out and buy cosmetics anyway. They look better in my opinion. However the 200 hours is a long time to grind.

The only problem grind-related that I see, is the prestige system.
Losing literally everything you've earned just to get cosmetics is awful as hell.
