Literally unplayable (PS4)
Can’t make it passed press x menu. Overheats while loading. Doesn’t even get hot but shuts off anyway. Anyone else having a similar issue?? Any guesses as to what BHVR messed up this time??

Sounds like a hardware problem to me.

Thought so too but every other game runs fine. It runs like cyberpunk back when it first came out. I played just fine the night before the update and when it finished downloading I loaded up and bam, overheat.

Could it be a dust problem? Sounds like something that would be related to your fans not working anymore.

Had the same problem with my PS4 pro.
Yeah, DbD broke my PS4 pro.
Now they’ll tell you to clean the dust, change the thermal paste etc etc but none of that worked with me. I surely hope it does for you.
The funny thing is no one wants to admit this game is actually capable of Breaking consoles, but it is. You can hear at that menu that even a brand new PS4 will go much louder than normal. Everyone calling it a hardware problem when tons of users had the same issue with ps4s that worked fine with other games.

mine starts sounding like a plane about to take off every time I boot it up but calms down after I make it beyond the initial X prompt screen. Legit feels like my PS4 is about to explode with how loud the fans get

Yeah. Refurbished mine after cyberpunk bricked it. Fan was going anyway. So I found a solution to my problem. Idk if it always work but if I play another game and let it warm up then dbd runs like normal. I guess it’s the initial boot up that heats up too quickly and registers as overheating.

I have a similar issue that I fixed by putting a magazine under my ps4. It somehow stops making those awful sounds, don't know if it will work with your though.

I was able to play it on a normal PS4. I've since moved on to PS5, which is much quieter with better framerates. Not sure if it could now, since I deleted the game from PS4 (no reason to have it on there anymore)
