Changes that would be good for DS and the game

Now Decisive Strike is much more of a pure anti-tunnel perk encouraging good gameplay from the Killer while not punishing him for doing good. However, I am convinced that there a few more changes that would definitely make Decisive and the game better:

I) Add additional interactions performing which results in Decisive Strike's deactivation, such as:

  • Unlocking or rummaging Chests
  • Opening Exit Gates
  • Self mending and mending others
  • Rescuing Caged Survivors against Executioner
  • Cleansing using Plague's Fountains of Devotion
  • Sealing Demogorgon's Portals

II) Decisive Strike does not activate after self unhooks. The self escape from hooks must be a wise decision to even consider.

III) Increase Decisive Strike's Skill Check size to normal.

IV) Make the perk have stronger impact against tunnellers that may play very aggressive Killers like Nurse or Spirit:

  • Decisive Strike allows Survivors to escape the Killer's grasp and stun him more than once.
  • 5 seconds stun is applied AFTER animation during which a Survivor is being dropped ends, leading to 6 seconds of inability to move.

V) There is always a Survivor that at the start of the match becomes the Killer's Obsession.

I agree with III, IV and V, the other ones, not so much.

Nah, we use DS for too long. I changed it for resilience and I have now so much fun. Heal at 99% and iron well help a lot. I wouldn't use DS if they give it a 10 secs stun. Perks are to have fun

I'm pro infinite-timer-if actually-getting-hard-tunneled myself. As someone who detests tunneling/camping as killer and finds it very boring to play, yet finds in shockingly common in red ranks solo queue games, I think theres a lot of killers who would actually be forced to git gud and make games more dynamic and enjoyable with this change.

No DS on self unhooks... I dunno. It would certainly make a Deliverance/DS combo at end game no longer an instant win, but i feel like that situation is kind of a potential reward for A. Only having 2 perks all game B. Not getting hooked at all until endgame. So I dunno how I'd feel about that.

Yes, I agree with buffs because the perk was already nerfed, doesn't need more nerfs.

It's also fairly easy to tunnel, that's why low skilled killers do it all the time.

DS should still work on self unhooks, u can still get tunneled in those.

I can't tell u how many times I've seen a teammate use deliverance, even when the killer was already far away, just to see the killer suddenly tunnel the guy even tho he wasn't the tunneler type b4.

    1) None of that is needed. All important interactions are already there, no need to overcomplicate it.

    2) No that decreases synergy and you can still get tunneled after self unhook. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't activate on self unhooks.

    3) Or even better, remove the skillcheck alltogether and make the stun passive without needing to hit any skill checks.

    4) Ehh no, that's too drastic and it's too soon for that. And they can still tunnel you even if it activates twice and the stun is longer. Far better buff would be that after you use your single DS, you get a 0 grunts, scratch marks, blood pools etc, possibly even short burst of speed so that you actually can get away and not be tunneled insted of a buff that exists just to waste more time and not help with the tunneling in the end.

    5) Yes
