Whose experience is this? Are there people out there who just get match after match of Nurse and Spirit? Or is this just something killer mains who don't ever touch survivor like to say?

I see none of those killers more than most. In fact, here are the killers I see way more often than Nurse or Spirit (and about as often as Freddy):

- Leatherface

- Legion

- Huntress

- Deathslinger

- Trapper

- Ghost Face

- Pyramid Head

This saying goes back for so long, that before crossplay was added, I used to think "Wow, it must really suck on PC, the only see 2-3 killers :("

And since I know it's going to come up, yes I play in red ranks, often rank 1. That's not an accomplishment.

Edit: also, eastern US based, as server might have some influence on this

    I see a lot of nurses now but that’s due to her archive. Otherwise it’s mostly bubba’s, Huntress’ and legion’s

    Matchmaking is based on rank and therefore VERY loose. Most killers are viable throughout the mid-range ranks, or low reds. But once you get to the top 1% of players (not just rank 1s, the top % of rank 1s) then SWF bully squads reign supreme. Most killers, even when played by the best killer mains, can't compete at that level. This is why the SBM if/when it finally comes out, is viewed so negatively by the top players, because it WILL mean that they consistently face the best of the best survivors, and THEN only Spirit and Nurse will be viable.

    Most red rank killers I go against are Spirits, Freddie's, Nurses, Legions and Huntresses. A little Deathslinger creeping in, too, as well as Wraith with his honestly borderline OP add-ons (all-seeing, silent clapper, the serpent build, that sort of thing).

    And to be honest, after the time I've been having I think I'm going to have a solid week of Spirit. I need both a cleanse form normal gameplay and to bully the crap out of people. Unless they suddenly implement MMR, in which case I'll not be going agasint my usual survivors as Spirit and will probably just be a friendly lil spooky lady.

    If they release mmr,

    It will quite only BE Spirits and Nurses..

    I don't even want SBM in this game at all,

    It'll def hurt the game or Worse, Kill it even,

    Even a sweaty player at times wants to have fun,

    But he won't have fun if he's always facing the Sweat Squads with Ds/Ub/Bt/Dh combo Wombo,

    Nah, I dont see them really often. The Killer I see the most is Huntress. But other than her, the rest is pretty even, aside from stuff like Twins or Plague played pretty rarely.

    And you also dont need to play Spirit or Nurse at Red Ranks. Every Killer can be played at Red Ranks.

    I think the last time I got those consistent matches was a year ago.

    The closest was a few months ago getting a back to back Forever Freddy build (same build too with different console players) into a Spirit. And that was it really, the rest was either Deathslinger, Blight, or something random. After that I didn't really get something similar like that, it's usually different each game.

    Ironically I hate PH and Deathslinger, but I never see PH anymore.

    The SBM worked beautifully for me, and most people in the mid-ranks or medium skill level. It was especially good for people wanting to try out other killers without having to face the rank 1 bully squad.

    It's only the top 1% that it falls apart for.

    They broke the SBM again when it was released,

    ...First game as slinger which i poured hundred of hours, rank 20s with .2 hours..Joy,

    First game as Billy, All ranks 20s with 1 perk,

    First game as oni, 19 17 20 18...

    First game as Nurse All red ranks but one and i barely play her too,

    First game as Blight 1 20 1 20

    I could go on but that was Literally SBM in a nutshell..

    Despite me being rank one in which case rank doesn't even matter,

    It's pretty common knowledge that, while his basekit before this patch was quite lacking, a lot of his add-ons are absolutely fantastic.

    Play one of the older killers and you'll see there are areas in the game where you can't do much. Top of grim pantry if the god loop spawns, most of badham. Survivors sprint burst to it and then hold W around a loop. Your killer literally does not have the mechanics, power or kit to combat those kind of structures in decent time. They tbag you for it too while the rest sit on gens.

    So yeah everytime I get that I wonder why I bother branching out and trying to use weaker killers. Literally might as well only use nurse or spirit.
