So...let us make a Killer version of a "rule book"

So can we make a meaningless list of rules for the survivors to follow? You know, rules that we are then allowed to verbally abuse and shame the survivors for if they don't follow it? Something like, "You are not allowed to unhook another survivor until there is only ONE person left not on a hook." and then call them all "Hookers" when they break that rule? (That isn't a bad word in this context...context is everything...) We can make up ALL sorts of rules where the survivors are in violation for doing something that the game entirely lets them do.

But seriously...can someone explain where survivors get the cajones to make up these rules about what you can and can't do in the game...when so many of them are using coms for instance? That is taking an outside advantage...so in MY book...that is cheating...tunneling and camping in the game are advantages we are allowed to take IN game....but I digress.

Some survivor, please...give me legit explanation on this...help me understand why THIS game and no others make you feel like you can make rules up the other side has to follow, in addition to what the makers of the game have already set out...survivors will absolutely take EVERY....SINGLE...ADVANTAGE that they can...and THEN some...and that is OK by me...I am not going to cuss them out in chat for that...they are trying to win...but hell...if I take ONE advantage of going after someone who is dead on hook I am some sort of SUPER DEVIL....or any number of explicative that are thrown at me. It is justifying abuse and in game reporting doesn't seem to slow it down, so now I am here to try and make some sense of it. I hear people talk about gen rushing...I for one CAN'T complain about that on this stance. They are there to do objectives as fast as they can by any means...

and to further this point...when I DO play a game at this deliberate disadvantage people act like such entitled jerks...HARDCORE BM tbagging and pointing etc that just further makes me wonder WHY am I doing this for them again??? If you survivors want more sportsmanship, then you REALLY need to make sure you don't abuse people who DO throw you a bone...

Sorry, RANT OVER.

It was literally a sense of sarcasm lol reading that post doesn't seem to be much a survivor is allowed to do 😂

Many killers already have those rules they complain about just like those survivors you complain about.

SWF is unfair, crutch perks/second chance perks, map offerings, keys and the hatch generally, stealth playstyle, looping, teabagging, flashlight clicking, flashlight saves, sabotage, W during chase, M1 on gens, healing, not healing. It actually doesn’t matter, many killers try to belittle survivors for any and everything they do. Doesn’t matter if that type of killers win or lose.

these made up rules are a problem on both sides and just lead to toxicity. It’s not specific for one side, it may seem like survivors are worse but that’s mainly because there are 4 times as many survivors per match, they can group up in end game chat and when you play more killer then you obviously see more survivors acting like that.

    No swf

    No flashlight clicking

    No teabagging

    No stretched res

I guess stretched res is actually not an intended game feature and doesn’t belong there.

also abusable by both sides, even though more advantageous for survivors

I dunno. Never heard of killers using stretched res. I don't even think that there is any advantage for killer in doing that. Like, your FOV is higher, but it is less wide, which is important too, so the benefit is questionable.

The first thing which I think is wrong is calling it the "Survivor's rule book". Stuff like not tunneling etc. is more like a gentleman agreement, that developed within the game by both sides, or by players in general. Just take a look at many killer main streamers e.g. who refuse to camp and tunnel etc. Of course it focuse more on the killer because, they are the power role in the game compared to a single survivor.

Well survivors have a third person POV and their natural FOV isn't that narrow. While it's true they can easily make up withit, besides beeing able seeing over loops is much more beneficial than checking sides. Especially if there is still enough space.

I think you and several others here missed the ultimate point. The killer rulebook I am mentioning here is tongue and cheek overkill sarcasm. As I said, in furthering the point I am making...is the root of my complain here...I sum it up in the end. Even when I play by these gentleman's agreements I am HORRIBLY abused which isn't re-enforcing a positive reason for killers to behave according to these rules. As I don't play survivor I am only able to comment from my side of things, but I am ASKING survivors to explain the logic of demanding we follow those rules here...I am not saying killers don't seem to have made up rule books too...in fact I even said THAT...like with Gen rush complaining.

Also, it isn't an attempt to divide...I am legit trying to understand where the logic actually is stemming from...to see if anyone that supports the other side can actually make that square...it is part of a debate...it is what allows people to find common ground...please note I didn't say "All survivors suck and are stupid and are wrong and I am the only dude in the world that is right..." That to me is divisive...Ahem...Clevite...you I guess would pretend that chasms don't exist...when I feel that debate is needed.

Am I a little salty from a night of being berated over and over and over? Yes. Did I throw insults directed at anyone? No. Thanks for adding your two cents into the conversation, but I don't think you are interpreting my tone or goals here the way they were intended. Maybe this post will cut through the mist a bit.

The only thing I hate from survivors is flashlights. I hate flashlights as a survivor because it means my team isn't doing gens and is trying to run around for an easily avoidable flashlight save, and I hate flashlights as a killer because it's a pain in the ass.

There should be a casual mode where it's like normal DBD without the ranking system and a ranked mode it has a good ranking system and SWFs aren't allowed

I would say just one rule: Respect the killer.

If you respect me as killer, I will give you a fun match and a chance to everyone to escape (avoiding tunneling, giving hatch, etc).

If you don't respect me as a killer, by tbagging, flashlight clicking and all that stuff, just prepare to die because you are going down in seconds now that you don't have 1 minute of inmunity every match.

It would be fine if they worked properly at least. Getting blinded from side of your head when you don't even see who's blinding you is stupid and annoying.

WORD. That does drive me nuts. That & getting stunned while in animation like when breaking pallets and etc. It just gives me a headache & accomplishes nothing, though it isn't as bad as it used to be. I remember when it was just a white screen.
