Where are all the maps?
Is it me or are half to two-thirds of the maps in this game not showing up? I've played about fifty matches over the last few days, probably a total of 15 hours of gameplay, and I haven't seen an indoor map once. Literally not ONCE. Meanwhile I've gotten stuff like the Pale Rose 4 or 5 times in one day, at one point twice in a row, and beyond that it's mainly just the usual scattering of swamp, farm, and junkyard maps with Yamaoka or the Asylum thrown in every few hours. Started a new game today, boom: Pale Rose. I get randomness but it seems that something has gotten borked with the rotation. I shouldn't only be seeing the same 10 out of 30-odd maps over the course of several days.
I've gotten confirmation from a friend who plays just as much as I do but on a different shift, it's happening to him as well. Has anyone else noticed this? For me it only started once the Trickster pack was released. No, I'm not blaming the character, I'm just citing the timing.

Red Forest is bugged so it got disabled but the rest are fine and I get them regfularly enough

That's odd. I knew about Red Forest but I haven't seen a single indoor map nor at least half the other outdoor maps in days. It's just the Abattoir, the Scrapyard, the Rose, etc etc etc. Nothing but swamps, beat-up vehicles and cornfields for days. I guess I did get the resort once. And I do mean once. No Springwood maps (which have a 5x multiplied chance of being drawn just by themselves), no Midwich, no Gideon Warehouse, no lab, no saloon, etc.
I'm not sure what's happening. Mathematically it doesn't make sense that I'm just getting repeats of the same relatively small handful of maps, sometimes the same one literally twice in a row. I believe you when you say that it isn't happening to you, I just don't understand why it's happening to me.

I feel like all I get are Badham and Yamaoka lately.

Does it feel like sort of an isolated thing, they're a bit more common than usual, etc., or are you noticing that many other maps are just plain not showing up at all?

I haven't gotten Autohaven or Macmillan in like a week. It's been Badham, Yamaoka, and a tiny bit of Crotus Prenn/The Game/Haddonfield thrown in every so often.

That's interesting, I've been getting Autohaven on a near-constant basis. That and Pearl are on an almost legitimately rotating basis. Got Prenn a couple of times, Yamaoka a couple of times, otherwise just those few realms and the cornfields. The Game is my favorite map, I'd kill (no pun intended) to even get it "every so often" anymore. I don't know what's happened.

Let's be honest. The pun was totally intended.

I'll put it this way: It was as intended as the Trickster's gameplay performance. Make of that as you shall!

I got Disturbed Ward three games in a row without any map offerings being played...in the multiple hours I played today I saw Autohaven, Midwich and Haddonfield once each, Macmillan twice, Coldwind 4 times, and the rest were Crotus Penn or Badham. Didn't see Yamaoka at all (which I'm fine with, I don't enjoy those maps), nor did I see Lery's, The Game, or Hawkins. I'm a bit tired of Badham specifically at this point...would've loved to see more Autohaven or Macmillan.

I usually get the game, hospital or junk yards. I can't remember the last time I went to yamoka or a farm map.

Okay then yeah, I'm seeing that this is definitely happening to people to different degrees, but apparently with different maps. What are the odds that a map will repeat itself twice in a row in as many days (my case) or three times a row in a single session like with you? Something's up, something about the algorithm was affected by the update. I'm sick to my teeth of playing Autohaven and Macmillan yet you guys aren't even seeing them. Meanwhile I'm BEGGING this game for an indoor map just to break up the monotony. I know they're relatively uncommon but before this last week I was at least made aware of their existence.

I ran the odds, and came up with 1/35937 (33 maps enabled currently, so 1/33 * 1/33 * 1/33). I also forgot I didn't see swamp or dead dawg at all today now that I had to go look at all the maps to see how many existed and are enabled. Pretty nutty, honestly.

I seem to live on the reworked Azarov's and it sucks because those maps suck now. Fog is nonexistent no matter what you do, and you can see around you for miles. My runner up maps are Coldwind Farms, which are still good, but those will probably be destroyed with the visual rework, too. It already happened to Ormond as well, and only the Crotus Prenn Asylum Lery's Treatment Theater has come out much better. The Game has a million safe pallets, and even more visibility.

Thanks a lot for your comments guys. Now I know that it's not just me. I'm new so I don't know what if anything can be done about this. Any suggestions?

I'm getting Lerry's institute quite often (2-3 a day) but I don't remember the last time I played The game game, Resident Evil map or the map from Stranger things.
Swamp maps are pretty rare too. When I think of it, I actually played just the ship one.

Hmm this is very similar to my games too. I don’t really see certain maps unless somebody brings an offering. Especially the indoor maps.

Did you mean the Silent Hill map? Widwich school? That's one of the indoor ones that I haven't seen a single time in days.
As for the ship map, yep, that's Pale Rose, the one I got twice in a row yesterday and started my game with today. Lord Regal up there was helpful enough to check the odds and this simply shouldn't be happening. It's like each of us are stuck with our own specific handful of maps. Could it have something to do with them reworking them? I'd be fine with that if I at least knew that that's what they were doing and if they gave us a timetable or acknowledged it in some way. All I know is that the All-Kill pack came along and boom, Tricksters everywhere, often on the same small handful of maps.

All I've been getting lately are Autohaven, Mac Millan, and Blackwater Swamp

This. I think that more people are being affected than the devs realize, or they don't even know that there's an issue.

Yay, three hours and it's been Coldwind Farm, Autohaven, Pale Rose, Coldwind Farm, Coldwind Farm, Estate, Coldwind Farm, Estate...
I think I need to just stop playing this game until they get this sorted out. #########'s gotten tiresome.

Only maps I've been getting are indoor maps, yamaoka, and shelter woods.

This is so stupid. So a bunch of players are just getting assigned a seemingly random assortment of like 10 maps to play.
At least SOMEONE's getting indoor maps, though I'm probably the only person who actually wants them. Can we trade? I'd gladly take ten straight runs of the hospital and Jigsaw warehouse to 100 games straight on either Coldwind Farm, Macmillan Estate, or the Pale Rose.

I submitted a support ticket. I was responded to pretty promptly by an actual human. I don't know what might be done or when, but I was told that:
"Currently, please know that the map rotation is currently set at random. However, this is an issue that will also be further looked into".

That's all I got today. Yesterday was Hawkins and Doctors map.

I'll gladly trade.

I'm a new player so I think that my lack of interest in the looping game is what allows me to love all the indoor maps that everyone else despises, lol.

Take out Badham because I'm a switch player and I've only not seen 8 of the maps.

How IS the game on Switch? I've got a Lite and thought that it would be amazing to play the game portably. It's on sale (for the same $15 it is on PC, I think) but I'd have to spend another ten bucks or however much for Nintendo's online service and then another who knows how much to unlock everything again.

Honestly, just don't think about the fps. After all Switch IS a portable console so no the fps is not going to be as amazing as other platforms. Other than that it runs fine, lots of fun (except the bugs the devs won't patch which is normal across the platforms).

Thank you. I actually got impatient last night and just wound up buying it anyway. I know that the Switch (well, again, in my case a Lite) is a modern machine but I also know that it's not nearly as powerful as its competitors so I was actually pretty stunned to see that it is LITERALLY the exact same game. Everything functions exactly as the PC version, just lower FPS and the slightest bit of lag when going through some of the menus. I mean it really is the exact same thing, gameplay wise. Most of the visuals hold up quite well too. In the outdoor maps I felt as if I were basically playing the PC version on a portable machine. I was thrilled to also finally get Midwich and Hawkins within just five games, neither of which I've seen on PC in a week. Loading times were also just as good as PC. I had little trouble finding games, and it even has crossplay which surprised me.
Aside from the Hawkins interior looking more bland (which I don't care about, some particle effects aren't going to ruin my experience by their absence), this really feels like playing the exact same DBD that I've come to love. Thanks for the heads-up, maybe I'll see you online!

Maybe you will, I honestly prefer playing on my switch over pc just because I like the feeling of a controller over mouse and keyboard and my pc gets all wonky when I connect my controller to it.
