Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Introduction to The tricksters Prestige 3 showcase

Hey again and welcome to another Prestige 3 showcase for the new Killer The Trickster! I'll keep this brief as there isn't much to really discuss in terms of wording, this time I want to take an approach that focuses more on visuals than vocals (if that makes sense).

I will say though that I decided something after this DLC. If I can get this post out day 1, then I can. If I can't like with this DLC, then I post it on the 3rd or 4th day. Due to some issues getting The Tricksters adept, I couldn't complete my day 1 P3 challenge unfortunately (though I could've if I got the adept much earlier in the session.)

And though I still got the adept day 1, I did not with the prestige. But besides all that, I do hope you enjoy this show case!

Format changes

  • Removed the screenshots of the close up mug shots and replaced them with a short video clip. Future integration into one video instead of separate ones is pending.
  • Side-Segment on the P3 outfit will be removed. Additional opinions on the outfit can be discussed in the comments.
  • New side videos showing various animations of each new specific Killer was added. Currently pending if this will become the new norm of the showcase.

Basically, the adept for The Trickster was probably the hardest adept to get for me in my 2.5k hours in DBD.

The Killer themselves required me to really focus on basic hits and then knife downs near the mid/end of the trial. Not to mention the right add-ons and team to face that didn't abuse every loop I couldn't do anything at.

As for the achievements I've yet to finish, they'll be finished at a later time and this image will be replaced with the final product. These achievements are what I like to call "situational achievements" which basically means they take a long time to usually finish due to the right time needing to unfold, even with the proper perks.

Conclusion

That's basically it. Some new additions added and a new showcase for all to see and enjoy. Eventually these will become more streamline when I potentially get editing software to compile these clips into one video, but for now this'll have to do.

If anyone has any suggestions then I'll be glad to hear them for the next showcase. If you're just here to see the skin and leave, then enjoy! As always I hope everyone who came enjoys. And as always-

Stay safe out there, see you in the fog...

Thanks for showing. I'm glad more recent prestige cosmetics are looking better. His looks quite good and the blood looks natural

You're absolutely amazing Firehazard, thank you sharing this, it's so well done.

Also if you're looking for some editing software I'd reccomend davinci resolve as it's really advanced and free as well. That's what I've been using for editing deathslinger videos on my YT channel.

Im suprised people find that mori at all interesting, such a waste of potential.

He could have literally used his baseballbat AS a baseballbat and throw knives up in the air and hit them with the bat towards the survivor and balistic speed.

Or maybe use the bat as a hammer and methodically hammer the knives (like nails) into a survivor.

just anything other then....just throwing them like is normal gameplay already is.

No problem, glad I could give a preview if you ever decide to get it yourself. As for how it looks, I also like how natural it is compared to other iterations from different Killers. Hopefully they follow this trend with the next Killer as well!

And I'm more impressed I wasted 7 hours to get his adept.

Jokes aside, I've been doing P3 showcases since Demogorgon, and with a lot of hate this Killer has been getting I just assumed showing a preview would give people an idea of what it might look like. Considering a lot of people might not get the DLC because of the backlash, it was just my way of showing it off to anyone who might not get the chance to get it themselves.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback!

I'll be sure to look into your software recommendation as well, it'd help with blending every video together in a more organic showcase, rather than posting 4/5 videos in one post.

I think the idea behind the mori was to focus more on the knives themselves, primarily because they were in his backstory. From what little I read about it, it seems the knives actually played a role in how he started as a sort of "showman" in his fathers restaurant.

I didn't read it entirely but I assume they also are involved in how he kills people as well, considering he's a murderer. Using the bat would be a nice touch to the mori itself, but it seems they wanted to focus on a more... I don't know... magic show kill I guess? Like he's using the survivor as a target for knife practice.

Why do you waste your BPs in this horrible killer?

Level him up to 40, unlock his perks, and throw him to the garbage bin.

Because it's a challenge for me when every new DLC comes out, I attempt to P3 them day 1 or day 2 and then put this together so players can preview the prestige outfit for themselves, rather then getting the DLC and doing it themselves if they don't want to put the effort into that specific Killer.

Also, the only real headach was doing the Adept for this Killer, mostly because they're so low tier. With an actual build their still Low-Tier but not as bad as before (granted it still requires a lot of work to play him at Red Ranks). I've P3'ed Clown, Wraith, Trapper, and even Pre-Buff Freddy. It doesn't really matter what you spend the BPs on, as long as you have a goal at the end of the day.

Similar to Yun-Jin, their torso prestiges are lacking. Trickster doesn't have a lot of blood on his body and Yun-Jin doesn't have any blood on her hands which make her prestige look weird. The rest look good though, thanks for doing this!

No problem! And yes I agree, the body is lacking in the flare that the usual P2 bodies get for Killers. I think this is just because the body itself was already bloody so they decided to not add much more to it. That's my only guess anyways.
