Why is gen tapping even a thing?
Geez I can't even pressure a generator like at all.
Kicking the generator provides a measly regression bonus as it is but 3-4 survivors baiting me in chase and gently tapping the gen to prevent regression just doesn't feel right.
It should require more than just a half second tap to prevent regression.

That’s what regression perks are for. Dragons grip is actually an amazing counter to gen tapping

try surveillance

Unless you are running a gen kicking perk, you should almost never bother kicking gens, it is a complete waste of time 90 percent of the time

yeah disagree

Generator kicking isn't supposed to be strong, it's not something you should be spending time doing so 9 out of 10 times. The only times it really is worth it are when you know for a fact they won't be coming to that part of the map for a while. A generator regresses 4 times slower than someone repairing it, so don't expect it to lose much progress whenever you kick it.

Gens regress at a rate of 0.25 charges per seconds. That's so insanely slow that the time you spent walking to that gen and kicking it is almost never worth it.
Just to make an example:
If it takes you 4 seconds to walk to that gen and another 2 to kick it then that gen needs to regress for about 24 seconds just to make up for your time investment
