Filter feels so good. Are they cheats?
I just had a game on my previous least favourite map with filters and idk if its placebo or if I actually did much better. I used to hate pantry cause I could never figur out where the windows or the entrances were at the main building, the mini version and the pier and I struggled to tell what was pallets and what was just a piece of the loop cause I have pretty awful eyesight. I had none of those issues with filter and felt I actually got decent loops in. Since they are 3rd party software modifying the game for an advantage would they be considered cheats? normally I try to aviod grey area things but these feels so nice that I would be willing to take the risk.

If you mean NVIDIA game filters, these have to be explicitly approved by the game developers for use, so I don't think they're classed as cheating due to them being intentionally allowed.

Like literally everything you can do to modify files like framerate, custom icons etc. You can get banned for it if EAC picks it up, but nobody has been banned yet. In other words, you'll be fine.

It applies the same effect, both are game filters, so I'd still say it's not cheating.

I wish they would just remove the gross green filters on those maps. It's so gross and makes the maps look so much worse.

Reshade doesn't really do anything that NVIDIA's filters don't, and the NVIDIA one is approved by the developer so no it's not cheating. People have been using reshade for years and nobody has been banned.
