5th anniversary speculations
I think its kind of obvious why bhvr did not update any maps this chapter. Maybe, just maybe, bhvr wants to listen to the community for once. It has been half a decade, after all. Either They will update all the remaining maps ( dead dawg and midwich dont count, FYI) and have at least 1 game mode + the re chapter which i beleive will happen for the chapter 20 patch, or will skip updates exceot firsfixes throughout the next 3 months, and push out all updates at once.

Not much info on RE, but i want nemisis for the reason of being the first map debris based killer (hopefully) , and the mansion is too scarce to add loops, so i would be thinking of an entity created version of it where it is wider and has more rooms,, and be suitable for dbd esque maps.

Also, just fir your info, when i make ideas,i think of all sides and have lots of game knowledge. Anytime i check the firum, you could ask me to review your ideas. Thats the only fun i will have dbd related as my switch charger is unfortunately broken.

Yeah, have NO idea what they have planned but I really want a new gamemode. Also, very interested to see what license they get because, honestly, can only see one of three options happening at the current moment. All which make me VERY happy.

I hope its gonna be good. I just want a killer thats completely fresh to use and has,a different playstyle than any other and not one that feels nit fun like pyramud head because the power doesnt have much effect.

I would like RE chapter, but I want it to be RE 7 with Jack Baker as the killer, I really love RE 7 and I want a character I find personally scarier than Nemesis, ( I played the RE 3 remake so you can understand hopefully). Mr.X would be fine too, or maybe both him and Jack even better! hopefully, they share some more issues and actually work on fixing the game.

Well, MCote did mention in a tweet either earlier this year or December last year that we'll be very excited for year 5 this year and it's "stars" or something like that. That has been taking in three ways basically, two video game franchises or a movie one. That's all we sadly know so far currently. :(

Stars? Maybe xenomorph. If you think about it, they could use a weaird looking 5 for the image and reveal it was cenomorohs tail, like for 4th year the image was cut out to reveal pyramid head.

Exactly, the three big ones so far that's heavily speculated are either have the hint being quite literal with a Alien chapter seeing as, well, stars, would be a very BHVR in your face hint like year 4. It could also possibly be Resident Evil seeing how STARS is a special force team and Nemesis is made to take them all out and has a catchphrase of, once again, STARS. The one that's a stretch is FNAF seeing as how, once again, STARS of the show and all that. A stretch yes but... that'd also be a VERY BHVR hint towards something.

If there's one thing I've learned about Scott is to NEVER 100% believe what Scott says. He also said "no collaborations this year."... even though he actually is doing a collab with a YouTuber. :)

One thing they're probably gonna announce the next gen upgrade to the game which will feature ray tracing (on PC and the new consoles) and DLSS on PC. BHVR already confirmed in a interview that they will add ray tracing and the next gen upgrade this year.

The community has always been wrong when a killer is speculated, many said last year to Candyman and Springtrap, the least expected happened, PH, if they speculate to RE and Springtrap, I am sure that the killer will be Alien or Chucky or something unimaginable, Jason himself.

Honestly as much as I like the speculation, I can only see him telling us, that they have something "great" for the anniversary. Stars can basicly also just mean a well known licence in general. I wouldn't read too much into it yet, before we get better hints. We really need to wait for the anniversary beeing closer. I mean there is still a midchapter coming beforehand.

Oh I agree, I've just come to speculate about anything and everything they say because you never even know when they're hinting at something. lol
I still remember when Paulie and King actually met MCote and the rest of the devs at Pax and they asked if he had anything to say about the year 4 anniversary chapter and he said something along the lines of "I'd love too but I have to stay silent." Which, in hindsight, was def a hint just said very clever and sneaky. Plus ultimately, I come from Paulie's tinfoil hat style of speculation because, to me, it's just fun and there's no harm in getting it wrong. Well, it might lead to some disappointment but, I'll get over it. :)

Well Chucky possibly will be best silent killer. He is small, so he can hide everywhere. And he can have special cocunterplay. Nurse already have it, why not another killer. And i think DbD will be horror game again while survivors playing againts Chucky. You will have to be so carefull agains him. Twins gave me hope for Chucky.

As much as Xeno would be a neat addition I don't think its ever going to happen, why? DIsney, thats why, Bhvr would have to spend a ######### ton of money to even remotely have a Alien Chapter

Yeah, I guess it is a bit tougher to get the license now, but don't you think it's still possible? We got Silent Hill and everyone knows how selfish Konami is.
Plus there's Fortnite that got Xeno. If BHVR wanted to profit a lot from the hype of an Alien chapter they could spend a bit more if needed.

The problem is that it all comes down to money, See the 20th century Fox is still an ongoing company, and Fortnite is a game that has made millions of dollars. The only reason to why we got Silent Hill is because Konami is slowly losing its business, its not the large company it was originally, they've fallen so much that they let an indie multiplayer game to have the Silent Hill license/ aka similar to what got, so initially Silent Hill isn't really worth as much is what I'm saying.
Now it is possible to get Alien as a Chapter but put it this way, we could get the Alien chapter but Bhvr might have to spend half its entire Finance as result and my guess they wouldn't even do that even for a prestigious license Like Alien, they would struggle to recover even with the number of people who buy the chapter it wouldn't be enough to pay off the debt entirely. Also with how DBD is doing now and how not a whole lot of people are showing the game love, and not spending money as much as they used to, it would be a lot harder to acquire such a license.
So my point is Bhvr needs to think about it financially before acquiring such tlicsense.
