Just played a solo match in bedham preschool against a good Wraith , 4 gens remaining and last guy got hooked and he was on his 1st. Now, do I save him or look for the damn hatch ...there's no way we are completing 4 gens lol . Anyway , the survivor was waiting the entire time until he got to struggle state , did not even try to escape , he finally got into struggle state and still waited , holding on with dear life thinking I would save him . I was walking around looking for hatch. I couldn't find the hatch and died while survivor was still struggling. To save or not to save is the question lol

If there are four gens remaining and two survivors still alive, the hatch hasn't spawned, yet.

You can play however you want. I usually decide whether or not to save based on whether or not the killer is camping the hook.

I'd still try and go for the save unless I knew the killer was camping just for the points and I don't really care much if I survivor or not honestly.

I don't expect the other survivor to just give up though because maybe they care about not ranking down and the struggle points can mean the difference between safety and de-pipping.

I'll admit though I will stay on hook as long as possible if I know the last survivor has done nothing all match but crouch around avoiding gens and saves so the killer has time to get them.

If the killer isn't camping I would go for the save, it's a ton of points and it makes it more likely that one of us will escape through the hatch. Also if you are a solo queue teammate while I'm the guy on hook and you are camping the hatch even though the killer is no where near me, I would hold on to get my struggle points too.

I'll only save in that situation if the other survivor is great at stealth and if I have Aftercare equipped.

We can then heal up and repair gens on opposite sides of the map. Aftercare lets us see the other person move off their gen and know it's safe to repair.

Why not just save them & get the points for it? You're losing either way, might as well get points where you can.

    It’s a tough call.

The truth is whether you save them or not, neither of you are getting those 4 gens repaired.

Eventually the game will end in one of you trying to get the hatch before the killer finds and closes it.

I usually go for the save but only because at that point, this match is all over but the screaming. So I'm gonna try to max out my points as much as I can and just accept my L

I do not fault anyone who chooses differently cause again, we all know this game is over.
