I can't buy a season pass, the Rift is too long
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the rift is just too long to complete.
I really want to buy a season pass, but since I can't even get to level 50, I feel like there is no point. Why would I pay for something if I can't even get what I paid for?
I really tried to level up the rift from the last two seasons. I wanted to see if the season pass would be worth it before putting my money in it. My Answer is plain clear, absolutely not! I played as much as I could. Especially during my "always at home covid Christmas break". I played to the point when I started to get bored and frustrated at the game. And then I remembered that I play this game to have fun.
I think this is sad since I really like the game. I wanted those skins, I wanted those auric cells and I wanted to show my support to the developers. Unfortunately, unless the number of hours needed to get to level 70 is adjusted, I will never buy a season pass.
If I may say, I feel like Fortnite gives me more for much goodies, and currencies for much less investment time than DBD. I would prefer to get a season pass in DBD, but it's so much easier in Fortnite, even for a father that mostly play the game with his daughter.
Am I the only one feeling this way, or is the rift just too long.
Thanks :-)

The rift is designed so you need 1 level per day. 70 days - 70 levels. If you miss a few days it's not too bad to catch up but miss a couple weeks and you'll struggle to play catch up even with challenges from the tomes.

I finished it already... and I still have the entire last level of the tome to complete.
to me it was pretty ok...

Well @Mikeasaurus, that's my point. I play Fortnite once a week with my daughter and I play DBD about three times a week. I can manage a Fortnite season pass but I cannot manage a DBD season pass.
If the developers really intended the players to play every day, then they did not intend me, and people like me, to buy a season pass. I can live with that, but I feel like it would be of mutual interest to get me to buy one.
Anyway, thank you both for your quick answer. :-)

I finished it two or three weeks ago. I don't even remember.
I can't say it's fine tho. I play DBD everyday, I work but I have a lot of free time... Not everyone can play several hours everyday to complete a level.

Just 100 cells per remaining level.

you say that but if youve finished all the tomes its 3-4 hours of grinding per level. If youre even just 6 days behind thats 24 full hours of play time to make up. If it were calculated for 1 hour of playtime (3-4 games) or even 2 hours of playtime (4-8 games) per level, that would be tough, but doable. As it stands, seeing as rift fragments pay for about 35 levels, you should expect to have to put in 140 full hours in? Thats insane

It takes me forever to even get 1 level of rift. It requires me to sorta play well no matter what. Playing well /every/ day for 70 days, or playing enough to compensate for not playing well, is difficult for me. Maybe not for others. And for those others, rift pass works for them.
Though I'm the kind of person who'd never buy a season's pass for any game. It's not my demographic. I'd imagine season's pass is for people who are more dedicated to the game to consistently get the levels. It'd probably be nice if they tweaked the pass to be more achievable or desirable, but eh, BHVR works in mysterious ways

It can be hard to complete it if you have a busy life. Just try to complete the tome challenges as much as you can and you should be able to grind through it.

I finished it a while back but that was due to college being on home learning giving me plenty of time at home. My best advice is to just do as many challenges as you can, and also let you know that they're looking to reduce the grind in future. Aka the next tome.

That's exactly what I was aiming for this season @TheGannMan. Even though I don't like playing survivors as much as killers. But that's still far from enough.
That's great news @GoodBoyKaru ! Thank you for the information.

yeah because you play nothing else, which is what makes it so disgusting, this rediculous focus and attention this game demands with that crap
@OP yeah its nonsense how demanding it is, even if halved it would ask too much

I'm currently playing final fantasy 7 which is taking most of my free time. (at least...the free time I spend on gaming instead of youtube or netflix)
also my fighting type run of platinum.
but wait...can't ruin your narrative... I'M ONLY PLAYING DBD AND NOTHING ELSE AT ALL TIMES.
is that better?

I guess you have a rediculous amount of free time then for that narrative to make any sense.

sorry if I don't fit your narrative... /s

I finished it a few days ago, and by the Entity, the grind is insane. But good news, they are going to reduce the grind in the future.

Im not saying you dont fit, you just have a rediculous amount of time, it takes about 10 ish matches to do one tier, there are 70 days to do 70 tiers, sure you have the challenges to help it along but that it still a lot of playing that specific game
