One of the worst experiences I've ever had
Ok I really need to let this out because this really made me mad. So, I went to q in as killer and one of the survivors burnt a Haddonfield offering with two Object of Obsessions. Keep in mind that I was playing Trickster because I just wanted to try him out on live for the first few times as terrible as he is. I ended up getting 3 hooks the whole match as I was able to hook both Objects once. The fact I was able to do that is pretty impressive. Ended up getting no kills. I was thinking about camping one of them until they died but I really didn't want to be that guy so of course my soft self wanted to play nice and get away from the hook. I of course got t bagged at the gate and the survivors were holding my game hostage.
This is one of the few matches I've ever had that actually made me so pissed that I legit felt like quitting. It's not the fact that I got destroyed because I have had plenty of games in the past I got destroyed because the survivors were just good at the game and/or I wasn't playing well. If you ever want to feel like you just feel so helpless and have no control over anything, go ahead and experience what I went through.
I just want to ask, why do you people feel the need to ruin other players' experience? What makes it fun to intentionally give killers a hard time? I'm not pointing any fingers or calling anyone out, I just really want to know why this is so fun to you.

So, I went to q in as killer

What?

Toxic survivors that are decent that destroy baby killers do suck but if you let that "ruin your experience" then you aren't really fit for dbd im sorry lmfao
3 -
We can relate with only this statement.
8 -
He's making a joke about how playing the game as a Killer is basically always a bad experience.
8 -
I have always been able to handle toxic survivors and killers throughout my time playing but this match was beyond all that
3 -
Oh lol. That is very true.
7 -
TheGannMan isn't anywhere close to a "baby killer" lmao it's just two objects on haddonfield as the worst killer in the game and if you think that'd be anything but tilting then please experience it.
21 -
Exactly. Thanks GoodBoyKaru.

That’s not fair to say at all. The fella literally said this was a one off, and evening if wasn’t, what he went through in that match could have ruined his experience and rightfully so.
The only thing I would say tho is don’t take haddonfield serious. You can still do really well as killer and 4K but we all know this map heavily sides with survivors, as do some maps for killer.
6 -
Trickster on that map is really rough since the 2nd story loops are a nightmare for your slow booty. I got that map twice in a row last night and played them through. Someone burned a offering for it on one of my first matches today and I went AFK.
1 -
Yeah Haddonfield is broken in favor of survivors and I did expect a blowout. I just never felt the feeling of helplessness like that in any game ever.
2 -
People who do this have miserable lives at home. No partner, etc etc. they just want to ruin someone’s day cause they feel like their life is crap so why not make it crap for everyone. Small pp life.
1 -
I can't blame you for going AFK. That match I had was so brutal that I should've just done the same.
0 -
I guess we don't know exactly what they're going through but either way, it's still not right.

I know the feeling man, it can suck the fun right out of the game. Fair enough yes, if they can beat me and stroll though the exit gates fair enough, but it's when they start messing about and dragging the game out then it's not enjoyable one bit.
1 -
Yeah that just makes it even worse. The whole match just felt like a waste of my time because I never felt so helpless as killer before.

Maps like Haddonfield and perks like object make me question why and how there are real people on this Earth that take this videogame seriously and compete in tournaments.
3 -
I've gotten 2 groups like this the last three days and I'm only playing trickster right now. The next time you get to the point that you start to feel bad about the match just don't give them attention anymore. I'm still learning how to use the knifes and where I can snipe through.
So I just stopped chasing after a few hooks and went to practice my aim. They came to check what I was doing which was perfect so I got to try out some sniping through the shack wall. I really miss a practice mode for things like this. If the survivors wanna stick around to give me more time that's okay with me I'll get better with trickster eventually.
It also feels that everyone likes to play haddonfield right now; had those offerings burned twice this evening alone. Let them play m1 genrush if they want that's on them, I'm not gonna be entertaining bully material while still learning a weaker killer.

Your experience was ruined... because someone crowched on the exit?

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I try not to let other people's playstyles affect me, but this is easier said than done. Truthfully, I had a similar match last night, but thankfully I didn't go to Haddonfield. It did make me take a break from playing killer for the rest of the night, though, because the match was quite the battle and a little taxing. People are allowed to play however they want, but I do wish that some players in this game would try to keep the fun of the other side in mind.
It was a 3-4 man party. Two of them switched to fleshlights at the last second, so the survivors had three flashlights total, and two had OoO and were continually trying to taunt me. Honestly, I've never been so thankful to have very few perks on a killer because I put on lightborn after only seeing one flashlight in the lobby, and it greatly helped me get hits in the end. Thankfully, it was able to kill the survivors because some of them were not that strong at looping, and the players with OoO followed me around when they really could have been doing generators, but I still would not call it an enjoyable experience.
1 -
Omg can you people read for once
2 -
I can read, what I also can do is find weird that someone who plays a game that trivializes and romanticizes murder and serial killers has an aneurism over someone crowching at the gates in the end and needs to make a rant on a forum. Guess the symbolism of going around killing helpess survivors is amusing to you but someone pressing Ctrl several times is too much to handle.

Unless the survivors prove to be otherwise I consider them all to be toxic. I treat them as such.
3 -
Haddonfield and Trickster in the same sentence already sounds painful. I am sorry you had to go through that. Trials like this one are usually the worst.
I remember a very old trial of mine on Haddonfield. I was playing Old Leatherface against a 4 man SWF Team, and all of them were running old Balanced Landing... You can imagine how that went.

You're a better person than I am. I just refuse to play on Haddonfield anymore. I'll maybe half-heartedly chase a couple survivors off the outside gens, but I won't go in the houses, and after I get one survivor injured I go afk at the gate. I might do a little more if we went to Haddonfield by RNG, but if they burned for it screw 'em. They can do their gen repair sim, and they usually earn less than the cost of the add-ons they brought. Once the gens are done, I open the gate, and then on Haddonfield I can usually get to the second gate before they're able to open it. They often really wanna open that second gate. Like dude, I was super polite and opened that other gate for you, it's rude for you to try to insist on this second gate instead.
I almost never go to open exit gates. If survivors want to sit there for two minutes wasting their time, that's fine, they have to pay attention or risk dying to the entity whereas I can completely ignore the game and watch videos on my laptop. Or I'll look for the hatch; sometimes I get to close it, or sometimes someone dies because they got cocky. The best is when I find the hatch just in time to see someone die on top of it because their teammates waited until the last second to leave. I find it funny just 'cause I had nothing to do with it, that's all on them.

If you actually read the post, then you would understand that I didn't get pissed off because of the t bagging. I never get bothered by t bagging or flashlight clicks because I don't get offended like that. What really pissed me off was that the survivors wanted to send me to the worst map in the game with Object against the worst killer in the game, making me completely unable to do anything except waste my time knowing exactly how the match is going to go. The t bagging at the gates instead of just leaving when they've already won made me waste more time in the match than them just leaving. Is it really that hard to comprehend?

My gosh people are so cruel. I bet that was painful af.
0 -
Yes, it was. Didn't get a single kill, as expected. It might be an old story (Early 2019, if I am not mistaken) but it was one of the reasons why Haddonfield was my least favourite map. Until the Chains of Hate Chapter released and introduced an even worse map.

Dead Dawg isn’t the worst map imo because it is at least small, but man those breakable walls are so annoying.
0 -
Honestly, I hate that map. Seeing a "Dusty Noose" offering just makes me silently shed a tear.
And, regarding breakable walls, I agree with you. I didn't mind then when they were exclusive to the Dead Dawg Saloon, but now they are everyone it is so damn annoying!

When I was playing the other day, I got Haddonfield 4 times in a row on Trickster. The third time I just stopped and stared at a wall and tabbed out of the game for the entire match and then the 4th time I disconnected as soon as the map loaded in.
I hate Haddonfield on most killers but on Trickster it's actual hell.
1 -
4 straight matches? How is that even possible?
0 -
I am so sorry you had this awful experience and I have had matches like this. I went against a 4 man who just clicked their flashlights and teabagged me all game it was horrible. I only got one kill which was fine but still people shouldn't be bullying someone like that especially when you don't even know that person. They could be having a rough day and wanna play a game to take their mind off it but then this crap happens.
2 -
I get this experience every time I play as survivor.
0 -
Yeah. I’m sure you do.
1 -
I can top that plus the outcome. I started playing Trapper a little over a month ago for the first time in ages and ended up with 3 objects in my match. I got a 3k with the last person only getting out cuz I lost them when they were slugged and they managed to find the hatch moments before bleeding out.
0 -
And when you play killer, which I assume it is either Billy, Nurse or Doctor (based on your statistics), do you get this experience?
0 -
This is why no matter what side you play as, you can't really give much thought or care about the experience for the other side. It makes no sense in a 4v1 game to care about each other when you have vastly different goals.
0 -
Yeah, my goal is to just have fun and make sure the other side is also having fun. I understand wanting to win, but really? Haddonfield with two Objects? Who feels the need to do that?
0 -
Not really. I hardly play because it is too easy. It's either play killer and win or play survivor and lose.
1 -
I see. Well, my experience is pretty much the opposite. And, honestly, I wish it wasn't. I mean you clearly are more experienced than I am, but still I would love to have easier killer games and harder survivor games.
0 -
Very condescending.
1 -
It's just a case of people playing a match that they know the other side doesn't have a chance of winning.
A SWF with a map offering for the most survivor side map in the game and 2 OoO. They pretty much played the game on super easy mode to display their dominance because they know that if they played solo without all their crutches they wouldn't stand a chance.

I am sorry for your bad exp... We all have some bad games sometimes. Dont give up, you will get better games.
And when on my games someone trying to being toxic. I am also doing that. It is not hard really. And in end game chat i love to read salty messages and i am just writing "gg gl next game friends" and they get more salty :d

Right???

The thing is people can separate video games from reality. I don't feel anything when I Klick my mouse and some pixel do a death anymation.
Dbd is simply a theme put over a game of "hide-and-seek" coupled with "playing catch". If you find somebody and tap them twice you can put them in jail up to 3 time and when they don't get tapped out in 2 minutes they are out. Of course this is a simplified representation but I think it boils down to this.
TBagging, hitting on hook and stuff like that don't have anything to do with gameplay and are simply taunts. And again here I can separate the visual from why my opponent does it and what they "might" (there are always exceptions for everything) intend with their action.
To your last post
We are not agitated by the shown action itself but the intention and mindset behind it. Just like when someone flips you off you are not angry that they lifted one special finger but why they are doing it.
Online anonymity just gives most people, that wouldn't dare to taunt others in real life without fearing some consequences (in my country there is a penalty of 1000€ set up for flipping of a cop for example), internet balls the size of coconuts.
1 -
It's this behavior that causes survivors to have long queues. Then they wonder why no one wants to play bully simulator.
