Should better together reduce the inefficiency
I only feel like its useful when you are running prove thyself as otherwish it just attracts solo Q teammates like flies and they all stack on my gen.

Hmm... there's already Prove Thyself for that. Between toolboxes, Leader, Resilience, and the new survivor perk, survivors already have enough tools to reduce gen times. Killers need gens to take a certain amount of time in order for the game to be fair.
I'm not in favor of increasing gen times either. I think killers need more tools to regress gens.

TBH There are many perk that should be combined together to make 1 decent perk.
Better Together combined with Prove Thyself wouldn't be op, nor I would consider it strong. Just a decent perk that would be worth using.
Grouping up on gen is not worth it for many reason like killer being able to apply pressure on many survivor at the same time, progression being a tad slower per person (you don't exactly repair a gen 200% with 2 people) etc.

Better Together is an information perk. it tells your teammates what gen you are working on and while you are working on a gen and someone goes down you see everyone's auras for a short duration. Better Together can even counter Knockout as the aura from Better Together isn't blocked by Knockout.
I don't see why an information perk also needs to increase gen speed.
