Are people who play killer held to somewhat higher expectations?

The more I play killer, the more I've noticed something like this:

  • Survivors are justified in genrushing, but killers can't do the equivalent, which is tunnelling and sometimes even camping also. Survivors' objectives are to do gens, killers are to kill. It seems like tunnelling/camping is frowned upon in any circumstance
  • Running slowdown perks as killer is boring, overkill, and trite and is carrying you, but it's not "boring" when survivors bring toolboxes with BNP's, Prove Thyself, etc.
  • Survivors give up in games all the time for whatever reason, but if a killer doesn't want to play a game for whatever reason (dcing because they see an offering like haddonfield, they simply don't want to play the game due to various factors, etc.) they get insulted for not wanting to play
  • To elaborate on the previous point, survivors often give up when going against strong builds, especially on stronger killers. Like a ruin undying Spirit, and no one questions this very much if a survivor gives up. But a killer is meant to endure very troublesome and unbalanced trials, like a Pig with only surge for regression on fractured cowshed against four dead hards, BNP and prove thyself.

It's just a game yadayada, but I have very much noticed a lot of high expectations being played on people who play killer; from watching streams and seeing end game chat, to also my own personal experience playing killer as well.
