ACTUAL unpopular opinions
What are some actual unpopular opinions. Not NOED is fine or DS didn't need a nerf, I mean some real unpopular opinions despite that fact that you're objectively right. I'll start:
- They should add lootboxes
- DBD should be subscription based
- People who play both sides are the whiniest group out of everyone.
- The devs care about the women characters more than men (the good skins for women are free or cheap, while the men's are expensive or locked behind the rift in higher tiers)
- People who have 1k hours should only be paired with people with 1k hours.
This isn't a debate kind of thread just wanted to know some real unpopular opinions.

Prove Thyself and Borrowed Time are, and were, the most unhealthy perks in the game on the survivor side.

Endgame Collapse is a bad mechanic and should be removed from the game.

Brown toolboxes aren't OP (which they totally are)

There needs to be more indoor maps as they're more fun than giant open maps

Huntress hitboxes are completely fine in most matches.
Killer isn't stressful 9/10 matches, and getting genrushed is an extremely rare occurrence.

Killers generally don't need gen regression perks at all to win, they're just insecure about their skill
Stealth is the worst and absolutely most boring aspect of this game in terms of survivor gameplay and perks like urban evasion should be deleted

Playing slightly off Meta... both Perks and Killer wise can actually be very very strong. Sometimes even stronger than playing the Meta. Why? Well what happens if your opponents come armed to the teeth with DS, UB, BT, Etc... then you activate exactly zero of those perks? They're almost playing without perks at that point. Also depending on how much of a curveball you throw your opponents, they might have zero clue how to play against what you're doing and you just roll them.
Most people I've seen basically trash talk and call anything that isn't THE meta, garbage.

Actually no. People who play only one side are constantly crying about the good stuff off the other side. People who play both sides are the ones that know that both sides have strenghts.

True, people keep saying that it is another one of freddys strengths, it's not. It just looks weird since he is smol and his weapon isn't very long.

lol I haven't heard that before, but yes people who play both sides very 50/50 not 80/20 know the strengths and weaknesses of both sides. They are also proven to be cuter.

I agree to an extent, if the nurse is bad or okay. You'll be having a blast outplaying her, but if she's good its pretty much game over. Unless you're good at juking a nurse which most people aren't, you might as well give up.

PT can be the difference between chasing 2 survivors off of a generator and kicking it with PGTW or making it there too late to do anything. It's particularly noticable on maps like Saloon or Mother's Dwelling, with lots of platform gens. In a game where every second counts, and where you want survivors together because it buys you more time, it almost completely removes this downside and makes gen speeds faster.

We need a few much darker maps to increase tension and nerves. Most maps are too light.

Dead Hard is the most problematic perk in this game and it alone makes it heavily unbalanced

I had this opinion and I can say I can agree that because survivor practice isn't linear (the killers you go against are random, so are the maps), efficient practice is harder, whereas killer you can play the same killer to your heart's content and get linear practice.
However the decision making, time management, and efficiency to shut down chase fast in order to create map pressure in a variety of scenarios is much more difficult to master than simply learning how to loop. At a certain point, good looping merely becomes a 50/50 on both ends. But other than that, that's all there is to survivor.

Freddy's basekit is loaded and that's why so many people play him... he's like a Killer with training wheels.
P3 Claudette's are complete garbage 94% of the time.
SWF are easy to counter cuz they are super altruistic and inadvertently throw the game by not leaving anyone behind.

Wouldn't this be more over maps being too big, or having poorly designed maps? PT to me seems pretty busted when 2 people have it and are on a map where it is hard to patrol gens such as midwich, the game, or mothers dwelling. However, on a map like coal tower it seems a lot more manageable.

No, your teammates are not trash 100% of the time when solo queuing, you are also making bad decisions. You are just blaming them for your mistakes every moment you get, at least a lot of people do. This is why I like to record and review my gameplay when loading into another lobby, to find the mistakes I made after I potentially cool off after a tilting game.

Plague shouldn’t be forced or required to use her fountains. Plague should be able to choose to not use her power and lay on the sickness till all fountains are corrupted and survivors are stuck with broken status.
Plague players should be able to choose which side of her power that prefer to use the most and try and conquer the game the way they want.
An survivors should have to learn to be skillful enough to know when the best time to heal is and change tactics around how the Plague chooses to play.
A free Corrupted fountain and forced fountain reset (upon all being corrupted) was what made me drop Plague as my main. I love making survivors sick and don’t mind powering through a bunch of fountain heals to have a stronger late game with my sickness but now I just have the boring long shot damage BS. Might as well go play Huntress. :/

Coup de Grace is top tier, it can help you shut loops with extreme ease and can potentially counter dead hard. People are not using it because it got nerfed in the PTB.
