Is trickster bringing back legion scenario?
Legion was a bad killer ,( still is), not fun to play against(still is), and had an annoying strategy that everyone used( stab you and leave). Trickster has a bad power, is very weak, has an annoying strategy( his power favors tunneling And basement camping), and isnt fun to play against either. Is this gonna cause another everyone hates this killer scenario?

Why would he be more hated than any other killer?
Other killers can still do everything better than Trickster (e.g Plague,Huntress,Deathslinger)

Legion was hated, because old Legion had literally no counterplay.

Old Legion had 0 counterplay. That won't be the case witth Trickster. You will definitely still have ways to prolong the chase as long as possible. The main counterplay being breaking line of sight.

Sure, let's break line of sight in their new reworked Autohaven maps which are literally just empty space.

There are still jungle gyms and the shack on Autohaven maps. It's not like you have absolutely nothing to use on Autohaven.

I don't think so. Old Legion was an extremely broken killer with no counterplay. It isn't the case with Trickster.

Thing is I don't really see the problem with trickster throwing knives until you get downed. If it was huntress, she'd just be holding the hatchet until she has a good enough guess on where to throw (bearing in mind her hatchet can injure you in less than 3 seconds if she has good aim) , during that time as trickster ur just filling up the bar with knives until the last hit required.

Everyone is saying Old Legion had no counterplay...all I literally had to do was run in a circle at a dropped pallet and it would take him over a minute to down me using their power. Sure, you would eventually go down, but at that point do you care when all the gens will be completed?

The only thing Oldgen and Trickster have in common are Knives. Trickster has counterplay while Oldgen had no counterplay.

Oldgen in frenzy was way faster then survivors and could hit you multiple times to down you, 4-5 stabs I think, and could still vault pallets. I think your confusing Newgen with Oldgen.

THose maps have always been good for ranged killers. But there is still some stuff to work with as well.
The Trickster does have counterplay.

The downed pallet isn't stopping the legion from downing you. He just vaults it and continues relentlessly stabbing you to death. Sure it may take forever for the legion to down you, but there was no counterplay that occurred.
But even then that wasn't even the most effective way to play old legion. It was abusing chase mechanics and deep wounds timer not pausing while mending to create situations where survivors would go down no matter.

Playing survivor, I would consider myself lucky to play against Trickster on autohaven compared to Oni, Nurse, Blight, or Huntress. Any of them will be a lot scarier on those maps.

IMO it’s becoming the old legion... but little bit better.
Long distance shot still means nothing. This alone makes him low skill cap.
At low wall loops he has little counterplay. Spam the knife and survivors are downed.
At high wall he can’t use his power and has to rely on 110% m1 (TL, jungle gym, etc.)
At this point he still doesn’t excel in any area compared to other ranged killer. I still won’t play him after update.

Frankly,, trickster is still not very counterable. It will take 3 monutes to not be worried about the laceration, and hes going to shoot even faster with the new buff+ easier hitting.

Why or how would that happen? People mostly just hate him because they hate his theme/look.
Beyond that, huntress or plague can do what he does but better. Huntress also favors basement camping, she is one of the best at it actually after Bubba, Trapper, etc....yet no one has a problem with her generally.
His power doesn't favor tunneling you don't benefit in any way for going after one person after hook, only in committing to a chase and his buffs should make that less of an ordeal now for him so they will be closer to what a normal chase should be.

Yes and no. Yes, I see people hating Trickster, no, I don't think their points (and mine, I also see myself hating him) are particularly valid.
Trickster has counterplay. Trickster has skillful counterplay. With the buffs he will be able to hit you anywhere, but you can still massively slow him down by playing well. Its just that we are conditioned to think that getting hit anywhere is bad, even though with Trickster it's... Kind of not.

Weaker ranged killer feels more apt.
He's like a mix of plague and huntress, with all their downsides, but almost none of their benefits.

Purely psychological reasons. He can hit you anywhere and everywhere, therefore he is oppressive. However his "hits" aren't that impactful so gameplay/balance-wise it's not a huge deal.

There is a crucial difference beetween Old Legion and the other guy.
Old Legion wasn't annoying because they camped and tunneled. Legion was annoying because they could bleed you to death by using either a busted add-on or taking advantage of the way deep wound used to work. Either way, there was little you could do against it, but it was a thing only Legion could really do. It was also arguably more effective than using Feral Frenzy as intended before they reworked them.
The other guy also has a bad power when used as intended. But unlike Old Legion, there is no loophole for him to exploit and get better results. There is nothing that only him can do or do better than someone else. The "main event" is supposed to be his own special thing, but its just terrible when it does not simply go to waste because of the timing restrictions.
Old Legion provided a unique gameplay as broken, exploitative and annoying as it may have been. The other guy just has nothing going for him right now. He is literaly The Worst.

People hated Legion when they first came out because you could just moonwalk people to death.

It was that and he could down you in 6 hits, also he didnt have a limit on hiw many times he could stab.

Im just thinking were going to have a large group that dont like the killer like when legion dropped. I agree with you though. I seen some survivors hoping they weren't playing against him because he isnt fun to play against.

the same could rather easily apply to Trickster though, if the wrong changes were made.
imo the big downfall of his power is the laceration meter making every hit you achieved feel insignificant, due to the passive reduction of it after 20 seconds. however, if that were not to be the case and instead, as many suggested, the survivor had to manually remove it, then the Trickster could just walk after a survivor and throw a knife or two at them any time they enter an animation until they eventually go down without having any chance to counteract it whatsoever.
we could make the point that this would lose the Trickster the game, but that would be the same as with old Legion where they just throw the game but get a guaranteed down they can then facecamp to death - it would make the game very unfun for everyone and it would just feel unfair for the poor soul that is being chased.

Can he jump pallets and windows? no can he find the entire team in 3s ? no do you have to waist time mending after getting hit? No Can he go 140?No
I do not see this comparison so why is he like old legion? Is it because he has 60 blades that decay over time so unless you show me something that old legion can do that he can also your comparison is wrong.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. What im saying is is that legions launch caused big problems for the game and people hated that killer,, and they still do. Tricksters launch was the reverse of that, where aurvivors have the power , also tricksters power favors basement csmping/tunneling and with the buff to everything he has fir base kit is going to boost that exploitation further, so there might he a large group that dislike the killer. Remember twins launch? Not to meantion, twins power favors slugging.

I never said ANYTHING about counterplay. Im not comparing powers, im comparing horrible launches , and some people not liking the killer just like when legion launched.
