The new killer needs...
A "main event" rework or buff and a bit more speed, with specific builds he can actually be a B tier.
Also, not losing the lacceration meter if you decide to hit them instead would help a lot, the feeling of working the laceration meter and then hitting the surv cause they came too close is horrible.

He shouldn’t really be a 115% to be honest. Make it so you can save main event and he’d be good

I think main event will be situational as hell regardless of how many buffs it gets.
I think instead of focusing on his "Special" power they should just remove it and focus of buffing his normal power, so then he'd be Huntress with tiny hatchets instead of Legion with range

I'm waiting to experience the changes they'll put out in the 4.6.1 bugfix, but right now I think he needs Main Event changes as well as some edits to the Laceration meter. Something along the lines of no decay or less knives to injure.

I'd actually change the main event (ME) to more speed without knifes like legion, that way he'd have two ways of chasing and downing, without ME by throwing kunais or by activating the ME which makes you faster

the last thing we need is another legion, let alone a ranged one. If he got that sort of speed increase he wouldn't be OP but he'd be miserable to face as you couldn't really loop him.
The only exception would be indoor maps or strong loops, but he already suffers on those as is.

But remember you'd have to earn the ME, it wouldn't just be a normal part of the killer, lets say, you have to have injured survivors twice WITH the kunais for it to be able to activate. I think that'd be fair

That is true, and I understand where you're coming from. I just don't want the Trickster to be another "speed boost then down" killer, I want him to be unique in his own right and viable at what he can do. If we make another legion no one will play him, and the times you play against him you won't feel like you had fun or gained anything from the experience.
Even if the speed boost was earnable I don't want Trickster to be some run of the mill hit and run killer. I want him to be a ranged threat. I want to play against the Trickster, not against Legion 2.

Ok, that's fair, then maybe making ME a one hit injure and that's it, obviously, having to actually earn the one hit injure even though this would be some sort of "plague"ish

What if Main Event did double damage on knives? That would justify using it for the short amount of time, not being able to perform other actions while using it and possibly (but probably not) the short amount of time to activate it.

he needs to be made into something else than a (much weaker) Deathslinger clone.
115% mms and ricochet blades would do the trick.

also, yes main event shouldnt run on that stupid timer. that alone is nowhere near enough though, at least in my opinion.

People've been asking for bouncy blades to be basekit, what if ME is the way to do it?

I feel like his aiming mechanic is wonky af. Unreliable at best and having to choose whether to keep ranging survivors or swing and lose all that progress... It doesn't feel fluid, it feels like gaining momentum just to slam on the brakes and start from scratch. Just my 2 cents.

Yep, the killer with 0 slowdown, worse than average mobility, and a power that needs 14 more hits than Huntress will be good once they buff the ability you can't vault in.
