Dying on 1st Hook

I die on 1st hook in at least 20% of my solo q matches. I get hooks because I'm a good teammate. I don't hide in lockers to avoid bbq. I loop killers like I'm supposed to, I take a hook for teammates...

But solo q is the worst, and more often then not I die on 1st hook.

Not every character I have has kindred, it's not always an option.

This issue needs to be fixed. Giving a built in kindred to solo q survivors only is the only solution I can think of. But randos on solo q take the fun out of the game. They need to find a way to bridge the gap between solo q and swf

that would basically be like giving the solo q player a 5th perk, however they do need to bridge the gap, i suggest adding in game voice chat that would get rid of the problem without giving them an unfair advantage

In-game voice chat would be a far bigger bonus than kindred being baseline, if used well. And it would ruin the game if misused.

Solo survivors are UP anyway, so tossing out a free Kindred would close the balance gap a little bit.

yes but i feel that most of the problems that come with solo q is uncoordination and i think that running kindred wouldn't solve the problem entirely because most SWF's would see you as asset instead of a survivor, meaning that they don't care whether you win or lose. yes survivors on comms are harder to play against, but thats only because they can coordinate way better than solo q survivors

I will never stop running Kindred simply because it gives me so much info on killers and when they camp/tunnel. That is sad this is the ONLY reason I run it other than that it is useless to me. I used to run Dark Sense but because solo play has become so bad sometimes we barely get one or two gens done in some games with the one hit killers like Bubba or killers who cloak right next to the hook like Wraith. I understand matchmaking is a constant trouble source but I am a red rank survivor who runs several solo games with 15 and 16 level rank survivors who get hooked in like 5 secs. I am okay at the game but it gets old running right for a hook and your not 3 secs on a gen. But, oh well, I move on to the next game.

For me I get worried that my team isnt going for the save so then there is just all 4 of us at the hook and an Oni behind the tree smiling.

I would just turn off in game voice and not use it if it was put in the game. Games that use it(like Friday The 13th) are more toxic due to it. I have heard they won't add it anyways which I find a good thing once again due to the toxicity.

I'm not against giving a weaker version of Kindred as basekit. Like, a noise notification whenever the Killer enters or exits a certain radius of a hooked Survivor. At the very least so that other Survivors who are not running Kindred will know if the Killer is camping or not.

This will never happen. The devs have stated camping is a normal strategy, despite there not being any way of dealing with it outside of a 4 man SWF doing split repairs.

Camping being a normal strategy doesn't mean this won't happen. By that logic, there shouldn't be an emblem penalty for camping because camping is a normal strategy.

They added that as a half-assed attempt at discouraging killers, but the reality is that camping the first survivor to death greatly increases the killer's chance of 3K due to the game's design. If you lose somebody with 3 generators left, and they weren't all working on generators beforehand, it's not a good a game for survivors.

The Emblem system is mega garbage anyway. It's become so easy to rank up because of it.

Cool, so they can add my idea as a half-assed attempt at discouraging Killers.

It can be a lesser version. But survivor with friends have built-in kindred, it's called voice chat. They talk to each other to see who's getting the save. With all of the other disadvantages that solo q has, giving an extra perk isn't bad. But even then, it could be a lesser version that gives less information. Maybe it only shows the survivor auras, or maybe it shows the auras every 15 seconds for 1 minute. Just so people can realize that no one is going for a save.
