Changing killers while in lobby
So a while ago, the devs had this awesome idea to remove the possibility of changing the killer we will play in a match if we found a lobby...
Thing is, why are they forcing us to quit the lobby when we clearly understand that the killer we picked up isn't strong enough against the survivors we are going to face?
I mean an exemple, I pick the wraith. Then the game find me a 4SWF squad... WHY AM I NOT ALLOWED TO JUST PICK THE NURSE ??!!!!!

I have no idea how you know it's a SWF but
MMR is tracking individual Killer statistics. That's why you can't switch.

Or you pick Wraith, and then you see a 4 flashlight bully squad in the lobby. Why can you not switch to anything other than Wraith?
We used to be able to switch killers in lobby . . . YEARS ago. Please bring that back, or remove the survivors ability to switch characters in Lobby. Either way it'd be more fair, although I'd recommend ADDING features over removing.

Come on, who does not?
Just look at the steam profil, even a baby can find who is friend with who

It is because each one of your killers will have a different MMR level. The removal of killer switching prevents you from finding a lobby with a killer that you are not good with, and then switching to your main in order to have an easier time.

Literally anyone who plays on Console...

yeah, impossible to tell if console is truly SWF until trial starts. those get rough if you aren't ready for them, especially if you are playing a mid to lower teir killer and are out of the good addons.

am i the only one who dont check survivors profiles before a killer match. i just play a game i only avoid twitch stremers most of them tend to have toxic players with them

they should also remove the ability for survivors to key switch last second to avoids franklins, man that (BAD WORD) annoys me.

I mean, if they are all running extremely similar names, it's a dead giveaway.
SaltLord, SaltMaster, SaltMiner, and SaltKing might all be a swf. Just saying.

yeh i know but i dont care as long as i dont see TTv in my looby

just lobby dodge if you don't want to play that killer against that team, unfortunately they disabled that feature in the wake of a different feature that hasn't even been implemented yet, but apparently they had to do something to the actual game to disable the ability to change killers while in queue so to change it back theyd have to stick it in a download patch to fix it and they're too lazy to do so

you can't do it anymore because it's completely different when a survivor does it
When the killer switches to a different killer to suit their needs: unfair bad no game is killer sided devs plz fix or i quit
When the survivor pulls out a key last second, or switches from a default Meg to a P3 Claudette: completely fair good game easy you should've just reacted to it in the 2 seconds you had to see it appear in their hand 4head lmao crouch crouch crouch crouch crouch crouch click click click

Like Pulsar said. They're using MMR for each killer. Say you que up as a killer you never use. The MMR "tries" to find newb survivors because your new to that killer. Then when you get matched with newbs you switch to your top tier killer. It wouldn't be fair. That's why we can't switch anymore. I do think survivors should be locked as well.

I understand you are having a bad time but i as a Killer Main have to say, it would be kinda unfair for Survivors, if you could just react live to their pics/equipment other then Changing your addons, perks and so on.
Changing your Killer means Changing your strategy completely and this would mean that any Match for Survivors would be negatively affected.
I dont think this would not work well for the Game Balancing. Sure the Game is probably Survivor sided but this has to be fixed in other ways, because swf is one of the bigger Problems of DBD Balancing.

Except MMR isn't live and we have zero indication as to when it might come live, so currently Killers are being penalised with no benefit in return.

It's not live but is it running in the background to gather data? Plus they said it's going to get here eventually. No sense taking it out when your going to put it back in later.

That isn't on Xbox.
And if people are playing Crossplay, good luck doing that.

So Killers are expected to cop the hassle of not being able to change until "eventually". Yeah, that's a good call.

You must be new. Killer's almost always get the short end of the stick -.-

It's to reduce the need to force a client update to enable/disable the ability to switch in lobby. Especially since console/switch updates have to go through certification they can't update it as frequently. It's better to keep it disabled so players are used to it since that's how it will be when mmr is live.

Yes, MMR is tracking individual killers but that is the result of the match. Right now, MMR is not used for match making. So the inability to switch killer isn't directly due to the MMR system.
The reason why is indirectly due to the MMR system. In order to switch killers in the lobby, the Devs have to create a patch and push it out to all platforms. The MMR system can be enabled or disabled at the backend.
So in order to test the MMR system without pushing out updates, the Devs decided to disable killer switching in lobbies.
