A simple fix to hatch and keys..
Just make the hatch only spawn when there is only 1 survivor left.
No more DC for hatch.
No more multiple key escape.
No more hatch camping waiting for others to die.
Easy solution.

There would still be hatch camping, one survivor just waits until the other dies.
But the idea is good. Only one should be able to escape using hatch, and key would only reopen it if killer closes it.

It still grants the survivor with the key a free escape with this suggestion. Sure, you can't bring your friends along but you'll still get out only because you brought an item.
Also, hatch offerings exist meaning that hatch camping would still be a thing. They'll just wait at the location they already know it will spawn.

Achievements can be changed if they are no longer possible to do.

No it won't. Hatch don't spawn until only one survivor left. That means survivor won't know where the hatch will be.
Yep if it's EGC it's basically free escape. However it's only 1 person. As for hatch offering, again it's just one person, so that's okay.

They can still wait until the other one dies (hide and not do generators) and then go to looking for hatch. But maybe it wouldn't be as common as it's now.

this is a non issue. devs have said only 2-3% of matches end with keys.

Basically this.
How often do you lose a kill to a key?
I honestly can't think of any in the last couple of months.

Very often. There is a reason why so many people complain about it.
2 gens left with 2 ppl left? Or 1 gens left with 3 ppl left? Very often they ended with key escape, robbing me my kills where i can do nothing about it. Hell they don’t even need to bring a key, you can just stumble across one and get your free escape.

Stats like this aren't useful.
60% of players may be at ranks 13-20 and not even know how to use Keys. So in the games that count, you'd adjust that figure to 6-9%.
Another 30% of players might not be good enough to pull off a hatch escape (you need to have completed enough gens for the hatch to spawn, and then by lucky enough to find the hatch). Leaving just the top 10%. So you adjust that up to 20-30%.
Then there's the fact that this statistic says 'matches END with keys'. Plenty of survivors use a key to escape, leaving their other team mates to fend for themselves. Thus not ENDING the match with a key.
Remember Nurse has the lowest kill rate.

I think the complaints are generally more to do with how unfair a key escape feels as opposed to the sheer volume of them.
Don't get me wrong. It's a bs mechanism. I just personally haven't came across many key escapes in my nearly 2k hours.

My experience is when I’m starting to come back as killer with 1 gens left, boom there is key escape.
Thats why i almost always use franklins. Even they sometimes they can still escape with keys because they found it in chest, or just drop it beforehand and comeback for it.
And postgame chat makes it even worse..

Just give a gg and move onto your next game. It will save you a load of bother with getting into the pointless back and forth with morons.

Gameplay is incomparably more important than achievements.

I agree, but literally every time someone mentions fixing keys they always bring up achievements and claim its why they can't change them, when the reality is, they still can.
