Snares

So, the upcoming change drops Freddy to 100% movement speed when placing a snare, that is taking 15% movement speed from him. Snares in turn make survivors 15% slower as well.

So, what you are saying is that using a snare is now practically doing nothing?

His snares aren't like Hag traps, or Trapper's traps, you don't set them up early in the game, they aren't nearly strong enough for that. Didn't you guys come to the realization when you buffed clown that a killer's power slowing them down that much when they are supposed to be slowing down the other side is pretty much counterproductive?

I agree they need to be nerfed, but this seems kinda dumb. Maybe have it drop him to 107% or 105% movement speed, or add a snare reload mechanic, but this change is incredibly dumb.

    How is it clickbait?

I literally am talking about the snares.

It depends if he only moves at 4.0 m/s while placing and holding it, or if the slowdown lingers few seconds after that, either way you still don't lose that much distance, since you're still 15% faster if they step in the Snare.

Stand at a loop, snare 1 side, snare the other, double back and get survivors to step in both of them, get a hit.

This is how you play Freddy now and it's not gonna change after the nerf, you still play as and against him the exact same way.

Except you know, tons of loops are interconnected and don’t give him the opportunity to do it that easily.

He looks pretty gutted. They want him to preemptively set the snares more like traps but then also only give him 5?

Might as well just play clown at this point; because his chasing power is similar but way better now.
