Has the overheat mechanic changed how many hillbillies you see?

I feel like I've seen fewer hillbillies since the addition of the overheat mechanic. Is this just my experience, or are few people playing hillbilly? What is your experience?

It's a rare occasion you'll go against one

I've never seen any hillbilly since august It's not because of the overheat mechanic It's because they removed charge addons and hillbilly is hard without charge addons IMO

Though it's not just about the overheat. The nerfed addons also decreased his playerbase

After about 2k hours of non-instasaw billy I played a few games after his rework... this roar man. This roar just killed it. And he felt way more clunkier to navigate.

haven’t touched him since. RIP billy boy

I'm one of the few Hillbillies left. I feel like with the add-on changes it spooked away the casual players.

Hillbilly is pretty rare since that rework. But when I face one... they actually pretty much perform the same as before.

it's not overheat. Add-on changes made him dissaper because you have to be good at the game to play him

tbh It isn't the overheat that caused this

I believe it was the removal of the addons that increased the charge speed. (Primer Bulb, Carp Tuner Guide, Thompsons Mix & Spark plug)

Its a restriction on an ability that really doesn't need it.

Also while I may not speak for any good billies since I suck at him but its incredibly distracting to have to constantly monitor it even if I rarely overheat.

Its just there to make billy unfun while distracting the player more then anything else and well its easy to understand why almost no one plays him.

It is not the overheat mechanic that drove "Billy" players away; overheat is a joke. It was the addon pass and the elimination of insta-saw that drove "Billy" players away, now that you can't slap insta-saw, Bamboozle, Enduring, Spirit Fury and NOED for a free win.

True Billy players are still true and strong.

People likes to play Freddy on my region. Nothing to do with the hillbilly "nerf". I play billy sometimes and the overheat mechanic really didn't change anything. Good billy's are still rocking.

I have seen more Demogorgons than Hillbillies and that's sad.

Really it's because of overheat that they can't indefinitely keep their chainsaw revved that we see less Hillbilles.

hes probably my favorite killer to go against. his chainsaw can be countered if you have the skill, and when you do get outplayed by his power you dont feel robbed like you do against spirit. its a real shame that hes the least common killer at red ranks
