Streamers advertising in their Username

Does anyone else feel they have significantly worse games when they have a TTV or YT player that is advertising in their in game name ,This is basically a problem for Survivors more than killers for the reasons I am about to state but it’s still unnecessary and frustrating , I just came of a 5 hour survivor grind and it seemed that every other game had one or more ttv players in my lobbies and those players would “magically” be the first ones hooked and killed and in other instances the TTv players would just walk around the map ignoring objectives and every time they got close to me or someone else that person would end up chased by the killer , it honestly feels like Twitch streamers are being stream sniped and used as bait all the time , after all it take 30 seconds to type in a usernames to Twitch in the pregame lobby and voila you have real time locations of one or more players any time you glance at said stream

When I see TTV I check to see if they're online and if they are I dodge when I'm playing either survivor or killer.

Every experience I've had with a TTV so far has been them being toxic and talking crap about me even when I've gone out of my way to help them as a teammate.

Not worth the haste to play with people like that and have them and their viewers talking trash about you for no reason.

I usually dodge TTVs cause few times I didn't, I went to their stream after the game to drop a follow and say gg, just to hear them talk ######### about me even tho I played fair.

Some people will blame anything but themselves for their own mistakes. TTV has nothing to do with it, but after that experience I just dodge them as killer and as survivor too.

I can understand why you dodge, but why do you check their stream if you can already know people will talk smack either way. I think most people (even no-streamers) talk smack about others, only they talk that online in a stream mostly nobody watches.

As killer I usually dodge TTV because they are always annoying trying to get "content" for their stream. The "normal" TTV's I can count on one hand, who are positive. Most of the time they're not even good and completely ignore objectives and try to bait you as killer.

The one time I didnt see in time there is a TTV, I mostly ignore them. They will follow you everywhere, desperate to get some content off off you lol.

When I stream I use TTV in my name because Twitch is not a friendly platform to grow on. Most of my followers were people who found me through the game because of my name.

That isn't an indication of my skill or if I'm toxic. It just means I want to grow my twitch channel.

Back before I dodged I would check there stream as a teammate because I would go out of my way to help them out with hook sabo's, bodyblocks etc because I thought they would be cool and be like "hey this players a G man" but no matter what I did they would just talk trash regardless so I just dodge now.

It can go either one of two ways:

    1. They're actually serious about the game and even if they aren't the best they're trying to help everyone survive the trial

    2. Then you've got the I'm gonna try and annoy you every way possible for clips tv player which will run in squads and run builds to troll just make the killer miserable without really focusing on gens , they're objective is to make the killer ragequit for the LOLs and clip it.

The only thing i've noticed is that people with ttv in their name are more annoying when they get wrecked that you must have stream sniped them than killers are when they get wrecked and you must be swf.

TTV's are just people asking to get stream sniped by the killer.

Best to avoid ttv all together, they will either be new to the game or extremely toxic, there is no winning with them

I like seeing TTVs in my lobby. I like to see my performance from a different persepctive.

I've only come across a few bad TTV players.

One disconnected after I got to a chest before he did, killer found him, downed him and hooked in basement. Killed himself on 1st hook.

Another time, ran into a TTV who legit dive bombed in red ranks and never took aggro, and if they did have aggro, they'd run killer to a teammate doing a gen in hopes of the killer changing targets.

But honestly, for the most part, they're fine.

I usually decide to check their stream out after the match just to hear their thought process and what they were saying/where I was at certain key moments, etc. That's always interesting.

A lot of them also play offline though, like mentioned.

Most TTVs I run into suck. When playing killer the TTVs are the first one to rage quit when they get caught. As a survivor TTVs usually are bad teammates. They don't repair gens. They try to grab the killer's attention instead of doing the objective. I've seen a TTV with a flashlight follow the killer who was chasing someone else. Just so they could try to get a flashlight save. That whole time would have been better spent repairing a gen. TTVs usually are more concerned with putting on a show and make for terrible teammates. That's been my experience.

don't you think the DBD twitch category is overflowed with channels? I allways wonder how much you can grow as a ttv streamer for a popular game when you got so many channels ahead of you

If I was to start streaming I would stream a niche game that can bring people

Honestly, when I’m killer and I see a TTV or YT, I tend to play around and meme so that they have some more interesting content for their viewers. Something different, other than the normal do generators, get chased, and either escape or die.
