To be honest the reduced recoil doesn't really feel like it did much that much, but not having to run caged shoes and stuff is quite nice.

Just make him 115% base and take less knives to down. They also shouldn’t decay

better aim, thats all, still the bottom of the ladder.

Still Loopable and you can't save for later the main event, and after you use it you cant do nothing for 5 seconds... better than the previous 10 seconds bus still terrible, and again, you have to use it when the game tells you or you lose it, and if the survivor find cover you are stuck trowing kinves to a wall...

on console which key must be pressed to do the main event?

Buffs were just to make him less frustrating to play, although Main Event is still practically useless. He still suffers from a lot of issues, and why play him over Huntress and DeathSlinger?

    Still F Tier at best

It's a good start. But after playing a couple of matches as, and against him, it's pretty clear he is still the weakest killer in this game. His aiming improved. They tried to fix his core issue which is him taking too long in chases. Which is caused by his slow speed while aiming his knifes, it helped out but he is still very weak. Unless you are going against survivors who don't know what they are doing.

sTILL GARBAGE? Even after all that outcry about how horrid it is to bully him? What's so enticing to play him then do they expect?

First game of the day with Trickster against a duo, and someone who decided to run Object on Badham as well.

He certainly feels much more fun to play. He's definitely not strong, but we aren't all sweats.

He feels better to play, less clunky. Throwing knives feels better.

He is still not viable at all, takes ages to down someone. Power is completely useless and a hinderance in many parts of the map such as shack, jungle gyms, and buildings.

Just give him a week for everyone to get used to the new him and watch everyone start to realize how more obnoxious he is to face, specially with the yellow shoe add-on. (Edit: Just played my first match since patch and got a 4k, 2 gen left Adept on ######### HAWKINS and they had a BNP, 2 toolboxes and a key. I used his shoe add-on and his other yellow that speeds up his initial throwing knives. That should help give you some info on how much fun he is to face now. I was a Rank 4.)

Console player here. The buffs are nice but not nearly enough. I have zero map pressure playing him. 110% movement speed feels awful with how long it takes to injure, down, and give up chase to reload. I'm forced to either commit too long to one survivor to confirm a health state or give up and accept that I've wasted my time.

Still zero reason to play him over Huntress and I would argue is still the worst killer at the moment. 110% movement speed still feels unjustified on him. Huntress can get health states from across the map. Trickster is effectively medium range at best and LOS forces him to commit too long or give up chase.

If they insist on keeping him 110% and don't want him to be another old Freddy, they need to do a combination of any of the following:

Reduce number of knives needed to fill the laceration meter. 8 is just too much.

Remove laceration decay entirely or make survivors take time to do it themselves.

Let players activate Main Event when they want to. Or rework it entirely because it's completely underwhelming and uninspired.

    Make ricochet knives base kit.

The only change I feel is the quicker ready may slowdown and vertical recoil

I dont feel the decreased horizontal spread at all

He's going to be buffed again, it's just a question of if we have to wait weeks or months for it.

His kill rate is going to be incredibly low until he gets a lot more changes than what they have done so far. Most of his kills and hooks come from M1's as a 110% killer and just playing vastly better than the survivors.

Using his power is still very very rarely useful; and main event still never is really.

No I still can't down survivors at loops which is a HUGE problem with a 110% killer.

Deathslinger and huntress can down or injure in 1-2 hits at loops.

trickster requires 8-16 hits and his slow speed doesn't help.

his knives are too weak to justify him as a 110% killer. Either buff the knives or buff his speed

Thumbdrive addon is practically required honestly.

That or Soda can if you are good at hitting a lot of them quickly.

He honestly needs a whole power rework as a whole. He can turn to old Legion if overbuffed or be weak as he is now. He is a complicated killer tbh.

yeah I absolutely cannot down people at shack it's such a ######### annoyance and makes me want to ragequit.

  • [Deleted User]

Yeah you get railroaded into running shack as a 110% m1 killer. In almost any instance you can hit them with knives, you can M1 them because it's a door or window- if they are just running along the outside of the shack and you slow down to throw knives they will just round the turn and you might get like a knife here a knife there and get them eventually but no where near as fast as if you just M1.

You either have to drop shack chase entirely; or play it as an M1 killer.

I mean even with those addons he is still weak as hell, they just make it so that you are allowed to sometimes when the planets are aligned, use his power to maybe down someone.

HE FEELS SO MUCH BETTER AND FASTER, THE FAST FIRST THROWING BLADES IS THE BEST PART I LOVE IT

I think I'm done playing this guy. He's just not for me. Bus, shack, jungle gyms, holding w, .. I'm going back to Huntress.

Like many others have said, it no longer feels like you're torturing yourself whenever you play him but he still is weak.

Trickster main here. Alright soo first of all, to me personally i always enjoyed playing him, even if he was weak i still had ton of fun and got 2-3k most of the time. With these changes here, he feels alot better. Most of the core problems i had with him are gone.

-Aiming. The recoil was unbearable most of the time and costed me alot of chase, it being only upward makes it better.

-The movement while throwing. This is soo much better, i actually feel like i can throw in chase and makes him less slughish.

-Laceration meter being 20 second is great, just a quality of life small change.

Soo overall my rating on these changes? They are overall really good and can make him better. Is he top tier? Nooooooo, absolutely not. But do i still think he can be good when played perfectly? Yes.

It tells you at the bottom of the screen when Main Event is ready.

Agreed. Just put a few hours into him. There's no justification for it. He has no mobility to his power and he absolutely is not anti loop like other 110% killers. His ranged also isn't as devastating as Huntress or Slinger.

115% won't help his map pressure much but it can mean the difference between 1 or 2 more rotations to every loop.

I just played him and I could kind of feel an improvement--but he's still pretty tough to play. Unfortunately now that he has been buffed a little, I can see how he could easily be a problem if he's buffed too much. I don't envy the devs for having to find a middle ground.

This is very accurate for me and it makes me sad...he def needs a little more zazz to his kit then. This buff is seemingly a somewhat improvement

Still #########, i feel more powerful playing survivor.
