All of the Upcoming Content Coming Into DBD

Before I get started, I'd like everyone to know that none of this is confirmed information. Take everything with a grain of salt. Blah blah blah.

All of this is directly pulled from the latest video by The King on YT.

The content will be listed by order of importance. At least, the order of importance in my own opinion.

LEFT 4 DEAD EVENT & CONTENT

Starting off simple, Bill is supposedly going to be getting his first outfit as well as several charms. You can find the charm list at the bottom, but the outfit is titled "Heart of Valor", and is a very rare cosmetic.

This may not seem so important, seeing as both Leatherface and Myers received cosmetics after being stuck to default for so long, but the difference here is that Bill is supposed to be on the next rift, meaning he will also be one of the characters in the next tome. Not only does this mark the first time a licensed character will be a part of the rift, but it also sets up the road for other licensed characters to make their way onto the rift and into a future tome. Granted, this is most likely only happening because Bill is a default character, but don't doubt the possibility. There is a chance we could see the likes of Ghost Face make his way into the archives.

Getting to the whale in the room, you're probably asking yourself: "a Left 4 Dead event?!" Again, this is just leaks, and everything is subject to change or could be completely false, but judging by the sound effects discovered in the game files, there will be a small event featuring Gnome Chompski, a garden gnome that can be found and carried in the 'Dark Carnival' campaign in Left 4 Dead 2. The King speculates that you will just obtain a charm when interacting with the gnome, but I would like to think it is much more, seeing as this is probably going to be the biggest event outside of the 5th-anniversary event that we will be receiving this year. Also, the L4D crossover is without a doubt the second most important crossover to have happened in DBD's lifespan, only being surpassed by Halloween, so for us to only get a charm would be a huge disservice to both the DBD and L4D communities.

CRYPT TV CROSSOVER

Crypt TV, a Youtube channel that specializes in short horror films, has been leaked to be working with BHVR to bring in three licensed killer cosmetics.

I couldn't find a great image of The Mordeo online, so I apologize for that.

I'm incredibly surprised that neither the Huntress nor Doctor cosmetics are 'Legendary' seeing as they completely change the appearance of both killers.

I'm just as disappointed as the rest of you Stranger Things fans that want Robin in the game as a skin for Nancy. It is, however, nice to see Netflix and BHVR are still getting along just fine.

BLUE GLYPHS

We had red glyphs, and now we have blue glyphs. It seems like they will function mostly the same, the only difference is that the new blue glyphs will apply 60-second status effects to players. I'm kind of scared for this though. You can't really inflict survivors with Broken, Exposed, Hindered, Endurance, or Haste. Applying either of these would put a specific player at a huge disadvantage, which killers definitely don't need should the survivor get haste or endurance. But if you don't include those, then there are only the Exhausted, Blindness, and Hemorrhage status effects. Exhausted would be good, but the other two are completely useless.

RESIDENT EVIL CHAPTER (Confirmed)

The 5th-anniversary chapter is Resident Evil as if anyone could have seen that coming. Obviously, by my tone as well as this being at the bottom of the post, I don't really care about this chapter. I'm certainly glad that Mathieu has good relations with other companies though. That fact is most definitely a plus, as it means we could see just about anything come into DBD should there be no lawsuits *cough cough*.

Before you get all pissy and comment some hate, I don't dislike Capcom or Resident Evil. I'm actually a huge fan of the Lost Planet games. I just feel pretty neutral about RE in DBD. I'd rather see something else, but I know that this is a huge moment for DBD, for sure larger than even Stranger Things and Silent Hill. Though, what'll really lift my opinion is if we get multiple survivors again. Just having Leon would be a let-down, but to get Claire in the game would be nice. Oh, also, no HUNK means riot.
