Dead By Daylight is officially the Smash Bros of the Horror Genre.
Who ever thought we would get Halloween, Left 4 Dead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare On Elm street, Saw, Evil Dead, Scream (kinda), Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil in the same game.
It's honestly just crazy to think about.

It's closer to Fortnite or Mortal Kombat. It's a game telling its own narrative with original characters, but happens to have crossovers with other licenses.
Smash Bros is just an amalgamation of various Nintendo (and some others) characters. There are no Smash Bros OC characters mixed in with the crossover ones.

It does have it's own "story modes" though. And yeah, it technically has original bosses with the Master Hand and stuff like Subspace in Brawl. Don't forget the special enemies made for Smash modes.

I never thought I'd see something Silent Hill related unless but was a pachinko machine. The real question is when are we going to see dbd characters in other games.

you meant that dbd is like fortnite or mk ,but its a a symmetrical game (still a multiplayer game) i was confused about it like dbd and fortnite are the same thing idk

...OP compared DBD to Smash Bros, because that series is known for its huge number of franchise crossovers.
I put out that DBD is more similar to Fortnite and Mortal Kombat instead, because they also have large numbers of franchise crossovers. However, unlike Smash Bros but like DBD, they also tell their own separate stories using originally created characters for those games.

Considering that smash bros has more gamemodes than this game has, they both can't be compared with one another other than the fact that there's crossovers characters like mentioned above such as Freddy and Ghostface. I like DBD it can be fun not gonna lie but sometimes it can get boring at times, new gamemodes would help fix that issue to give players more things to enjoy.

This is why this game is unique and I will keep playing it, it can be unbalanced, I keep enjoying this horror crossover.
I cant wait to see what is coming next.
The only critic I have is not enough realms. Im still mad about last three killers who didnt get a proper map.

DBD is also pretty popular in Japan, so that's a redeeming quality. Honestly I just want a Trapper mask for the Mii fighters, lol.
