If You Could Add A New Survivor Item, What Would It Be?
I'd like to see one or two new items added to the loot pool, so I was thinking of beginning a mini-series in the Feedback thread of item concepts I've been working on. Some are fun event items, like cider for Oktoberfest, while others would be permanent additions to the game.
Got me thinking about whether anyone else has given this some thought, as the game continues to evolve.
What would you like to see added as new survivor items?

Honestly I would prefer a crafting system. All my unused add ons crafted into ones I actually use instead of just sitting there. As for a new item maybe a hammer to open breakable walls for survivors

Some kind of hammer or special toolbox that has the ability to rebuild walls

With Resident Evil I imagine adding a knife that would work as a DS in item form (same rules as current DS). It just fits Resident evil, because you can defend of a zombie with a knife. And yes I am a killer main and still say this.

That would be cool, being able to use something to defend yourself in a certain scenario as a survivor.

maybe instead of a free escape it could add x amount to the wiggle bar? That way the killer can estimate if they can make it to the hook or not (as he can see if the surv carries the knife)

On the RE vibe maybe herbs that function like medkits and can only be found on the Racoon City map?

I’d like a hammer that allowed you to smash breakable walls yourself. It would take time and trigger skill checks also a noise notification at the end, but there are some maps where survivors need to break the walls themselves like the game or the preschool.

Gimme a tube sock and a pool ball. Or I think I saw someone suggested buffing flashlights by attaching a glock to it at one point in time. Or, ya know, a drivable tank works too

A Hammer or Wrench are both things I've thought about since the introduction of breakable walls! Glad to see its a thought others have been having.
Would be cool if a survivor could rebuild a breakable wall or break one themselves.

A stick to poke the killer with. Poke the killer to get 25% more bloodpoints awarded if you survive the trial, stacks up to 4 times. Also awards 250 boldness points.

A camera that blinds the killer instantly, but doesn't stun them for the purposes of carrying a survivor or lightburn
It would blind and deafen a killer for 3 seconds, excluding auras for the sake of having a weakness.
it would have three charges and be held with two hands, very easily noticeable in lobby and in game
good in chases but bad for teamwork, the selfish man's flashlight

A hammer to break breakable walls sounds cool tbh

- A baseball bat that lets me slug my teammates for farming me in front of the killer.
- A smoke bomb that blinds everyone in an area except the user for 5 seconds.
- Trip wire that slows the killer down for 3 seconds.

Anything! Add ons that give them heat sensors, zooming in on things across the map, removes blindness effects... the possibilities are limitless!

I would like firecrackers to be a normal item

A tranquilliser gun so I can decimate my solo queue teammates who hide all game and sandbag me.

I've been thinking about this for awhile. It would be a trap that survivors place on the floor that is invisible to killers. The trap would only alert the survivor that the killer has stepped over the trap and would have no other effect on the killer. It would be a good way to know if the killer was coming as a one-time use situation. Or in chase you would know if the double backed on a loop or something. It could have some cool uses.

A data pad that allows you to open the exit gates without triggering the progression lights.

Bird seed to keep the crows distracted & they won't fly away. Pain pills that would would prevent pained noises for a limited time

The last thing this game needs is a means for Survivors to fight back physically.
That happens and we will have LITERAL bully squads.

~~Trip wire kit~~
Appearance: A small to medium duffle bag
Base properties: Survivors can use the item button for 6 seconds to lay the beginning and ending points of a hard to see trip wire. When the killer walks through the wire, their aura is revealed to the survivor who laid the wire and both the killer and survivor hear a jingle audio cue. Laying a trip wire uses a charge from the kit.
~Rarities~
-Brown rarity: 1 charge, reveals the killers aura for 2 seconds, max wire length of 4 meters
-Yellow rarity: 1 charge, reveals the killers aura for 3 seconds, max wire length of 6 meters
-Green rarity: 2 charges, reveals the killers aura for 4 seconds, max wire length of 6 meters
-Purple rarity: 4 charges, reveals the killers aura for 5 seconds, max wire length of 8 meters
-Red rarity: 4 charges, reveals the killers aura to ALL survivors for 5 seconds, max wire length of 8 meters
~Add ons~
-Brown add ons-
-Bit of wire: adds 1 meter to the max wire length
-Shoddy gloves: reduces the time to place a post by .5 seconds
-Bag of tin cans: increases the amount of time the killer is revealed by 1 second
-Yellow add ons-
-Mountaineer gloves: reduces the time it takes to place a post by 1 second
-Bag of glass bottles: increases the time that the killers aura is revealed by 2 seconds
-Sack of wire: increases the max wire length by 2 meters
-Side bag: adds 1 charge
-Green add ons-
-Large wire coil: increases the max wire length by 3 meters
-Snare setters gloves: reduces the time it takes to place a post by 1.5 seconds
-Bag organizer: adds 2 charges
-Tangle of bells: increases the time that the killers aura is revealed by 3 seconds
-Purple add ons-
-Stimulant balloon: survivors are also able to trigger the trip wire. Removes the audio cue when the killer triggers the trap. If the killer or a survivor triggers the trip wire, they gain 10% haste for 8 seconds
-High strength wire: the trip wire can now be triggered twice before breaking. Removes 1 charge (minimum of 1)
-Red add on-
-Razor wire: survivors are also able to trigger the trip wire. Survivors that trigger the trip wire are hindered by 10% for 5 seconds. If the killer triggers the trip wire, they are stunned for 2 seconds.
