All survivors leaving when using ANY mori - Why?
Hi I just want to make a post on here to get some feedback if anyone else experiences this same thing.
Background: My rank in the game as of noticing this behavior started once I hit rank 16/17 with Nurse and has run through rank 13, while for Doctor its any level starting from 18 and onward.
When I use a mori (mainly on the Doctor or the Nurse), all survivors DC in seconds, if not milliseconds, of one another.
I ran a few games and noticed people would play the game and then DC mid game once the mori was used. Never before always after! To further prove this I ran a few other games as Doctor with no mori of any kind (and the same with Nurse) and people would not quit at all and stayed the whole game, whether they escaped or got sacrificed.
I wanna know if anyone experiences this anywhere below my rank (ie 1-12) and if anyone has some tips besides "Don't use those mori's "
So if anyone has any feedback on anything of this nature please let me know! I'd love to hear why the heck this behavior is seen once you hit the rank 15 and below (towards 1) threshold.

I don't think it happens in the 19-20 ranks nearly as often because these are the casuals that don't care as much. Yes, this happens in 1-12 also for any number of reasons, from iridescent hatchets to 3-gen doctor to moris.

It's weird indeed. The few survivors I've talked with about such an issue have said something along the lines of:
"If I get tunneled constantly, or get camped for the whole time and then get mori'd...they don't deserve it."
Another one replied:
"Mori'd after one hook? I didn't get to do anything. If I didn't get any 'fun', why should he?"
Another one:
"The last 4-5 killers dc'd, why can't I?"
And lastly:
"Why did you dc? We really could of used your help."
"Great lot of help I would of been."
"What?"
"He killed me!"
"Oh, why did you dc then?"
"I would of lost my item and add-ons."
"That is the risk of taking them in."
"I didn't even get to use it. Wasn't fair."
"What about protective ward?"
"I didn't know I would need it!"
Survivors seem overall disheartened by the fact that they can't get a sense of fufillment before getting mori'd.
Gamers I believe overall prefer having control over the enviorment they are traversing. Too little control, they get testy. Also, doing the same thing over and over when it isn't currently working seems to imply a steady decline to madness.2 -
Some it has to do with killers tea bagging you repeatedly before using the Mori on you. As in they start and stop repeatedly and walk around you then keep repeating it. I've only use dit a few times and most of the time I forget to actually activate it. I'd rather a sa killer have it be 1 survivor only and only after they get hooked 1x and get to at least 25% progress towards phase 2.

survivors tend to be whiny little shits so honestly I'd just say get used to it. it's a shame too, they can just stay an extra 10 seconds and live through the animation, it's really not that big a deal.

The only reason survivors stand out is more play them than killers.

Interestingly, most of the time I can only see offended killers who would prefer survivors to use no perks or pallets, and they should only be obliged to die without struggle each match.
When I read this forum, I just feel that this community is damaged beyond repair:-/

Oh wow thank you for all your responses!
I literally was thinking it was only me because as far as I was aware I never heard of similar stories or experiences dealing with it before. I totally can understand the 'not in control' part but I dont mori until 3 people have been hooked usually. So it's not like they aren't getting to play whatsoever, I'll give them a chance unless they are just plain obvious in my sight. Oh well what can you do about people who can't figure out crouching behind a tree can still expose you haha.
Overall the feedback gives me a good idea I'm certainly not the alone one seeing this 'normal' behavior and can rest assured knowing it's not just me. I'll just have to try some new ideas to get a mori in without 4 DCs everytime a mori is noticed.
Glad to hear from people of knowledgeable backgrounds and to have learned from you all a bit!0 -

they are. every time killers get anything good they complain until it's nerfed to the point it's just not viable. take freddy for example, or bloodlust, or anything. and we don't want survivors not to use perks or pallets, we just want the meta perks nerfed and less pallets. 90% I see people whine about things with no real solid reasoning behind it, it's survivors. and, most killer arguments about imbalance are made with reason.
we want some struggle each match, or it'd be too easy and unfun. but we would like things to be fair for both sides, instead of killers being beaten and taunted every game. how hard is it to wait 10 seconds for the animation to end?0 -
I almost dc-ed yesterday because the killer i was playing against was continuously starting and stoping the mori animation. I think he did that for at least 2 min and 2 gens were done while he was doing that. Like if you're gonna mori just ######### mori me already. He didn't though. After what felt like forever he picked me up and hooked me but i was fed up so I was like "you're not gonna mori me #########" and i killed myself. I know that not all killers do that and honestly I've done that too but not for 2 gens not 1000 times in a row. And i know that a lot of survivors dc just because but personally i don't care just if you're going to mori me actually do it and don't hold the game hostage or me hostage.0

I really only have one notable memory of having survs DC because of a mori. The surv team was a sweaty SWF, bordering on bully-ish, BM-ing, sobo-ing, bodyblocking, running Boil Over, etc. It was really hard fought (I was playing as Sadako on Garden of Joy).
Once I got most of them to death hook and started the mori on the first one, they DC'd, and each subsequently DC'd as I downed them. Classic dish it but can't take it scenario. It was still super satisfying, though; to me a DC before a mori or third hook that is the ultimate submission.
I've had lots of other survs DC rather than be mori'd, but never 3-4 in one match like that.
